Ok so when I set up the app I had to create an account using my email address and then I added the device to the app. The QR code method did not work because my device has a different serial number than the box. No big deal I manually entered the serial number and got it added. I was never prompted to creat a username in the app but I do recall creating a password for the device. Going back in the app now I see a username that was something like E02362 and i tried using that and my password but no luck. I am assuming that this is the username and password that I should be using in BI? Did you just enter the IP/username and pw and hit find/inspect?
admin and whatever you created for password setting up on imou appp.. put that along with ip address in bi and click fond/inspect

Thanks...finally got it connected with admin and the device password. No stickers anywhere on my device. Now to figure out this fogging problem. Cleared it up with a blowdryer but the image still looks horrible.

Did you just take it outside from being inside? It should clear up

Yes just installed about 7 hours ago and it is in the 40's and wet outside. Seems like its improving slowly.

Hi

Just got this camera and was wondering if there was a web interface for it? I can see the camera's IP on my router, and have successfully set it up in Blue Iris... but when I type in the IP, Chrome says connection failed (IE11 sends me to Bing).

Thanks

What are you trying to adjust?

This is all I could find. I had to use ConfigTool.

Just got my DB-11 up and running. Had the same problem mentioned earlier with the serial number not matching the sticker on the device. However, I was able to see it embedded into the Hotspot name, so I just wrote that down and went back through setup. Worked fine. Added to BI with no problem.

Now the bad... my video sucks. Take a look at the attached. I've noticed the bitrate in BI is significantly less than the other Dahua cams but I can't figure out where to adjust (edit: just saw the config tool above!). BTW, the CAT5 cables hanging are part of my pixel Christmas display that I haven't taken down yet. Nothing to do with the cam.

My serial number did not match either. Not hard to navigate by.

As far as video, how far is the DB11 from the wireless router. If you set the video same as my examples you should have a better picture as long as you have good signal. If not a simple wireless extender on the nearest power plug inside should help. As soon as they improve the DB11 with 5ghz wireless we will a much better picture. Tried 2.4GHz wireless cams and they are awful compared to 5ghz cams.

Take care

Thanks, Gadget.

No surprise but I can't find any wedge kits to angle the camera better. There are tons of kits available for Ring cameras... wonder if the size is close enough that I could make one of them work?

DB11 is 5"x2". Ring is 6.2"x2.6" Not sure why you need a wedge kit. Angle does not appear to be all that bad. That link shows a wedge that goes from 30-55 deg. You can make a simple wedge from thick sheet metal. I have a piece of stainless I plan on making a slight wedge from.

Read a little? I feel like all I do is read this forum. I've learned so much from the great guys on here and have asked very few questions. Clearly I missed it. Appreciate the info.

Gadget, thanks for the ConfigTool info. I bumped up the bitrate and it immediately cleaned up the image. Probably as good as I'm going to get without an extender. Appreciate the hep.

I finally got the doorbell installed and working with blue iris. But I can't seem to get the doorbell chime to work correctly. Has anyone successfully installed this and used an electric chime?

When the chime kit is installed, I don't think my electronic chime is getting enough voltage. At the terminals, when nothing is being pressed, it's only reading 0.6VAC. Before the upgrade, it was reading about 3VAC.

When the button is pressed, it jumps to about 18VAC, same as before. I think the chime kit is shunting too much power away from the chime. The chime kit isn't a simple diode. Any ideas?

I got ours to work. I wired as shown. And installed the IMOU App. Selected chime as electronic > ring setup > A.

It did not work until I set it up in IMOU App.

Hi gadget-x,
I did change the chime option in the app; the voltages I stated correspond to the electric bell option. I also changed the ring between the A, B, C options. Didn't work, not sure what those options do.

I'm starting to think my chime is incompatible. I have an IQ America one, that plays the Winchester sound. What brand/model of electronic chime do you have?
