Same exact chime. Make sure you do not have a diode inline some where... I will retrace the wiring when I get back home.

GAdget-X, it's been brought up before, but what's the rating on your transformer? I just have the standard 16/10VA one. I know there were a few threads on upping it to a 16/30 transformer, but I'm dubious about it, I do get around 18VAC when the button is pressed. It's just the resting voltage thats low

Same as yours. It was originally installed in the house when we built it 27 years ago. Maybe your has issues??

I was wondering if anyone has gotten their SD card to work? I put a 128GB SD card in and it does not recognize it. Do I need a smaller card?

Thank you

Ketchup - Have you tried a hard reset and setup the DB11 again? I had to do it twice if I remember correctly. Hard reset is power off, power on while holding the reset button on back of DB11 for 10 secs...

Does anyone have a copy of the firmware for the DB11? I'd like to try to crack it open and see if I can find where it makes the mechanical chime ring 10 times and set this to 1.

I haven't been able to find the firmware online anywhere and believe Andy should be taking lunar/Chinese new year off for the next few days.

Well sorry I do not see any 1.000.0000001.0.R.180919 firmware. Would love to just shutoff the bell in the DB11. It is annoying.

I still would like to know if anyone has got a SD card to work with doorbell?? I ordered a new 128GB Sandisk Ultra and it does not work with the doorbell. It works fine in other Dahua cams. Maybe small size????

Funny thing as I tried the SD disk in doorbell. I shut off the doorbell power and insert the Micro SD card then turned the circuit back on. The doorbell comes on, but it does not come online until I momentary hit reset button on back of doorbell. I may have to install a UPS in the doorbell circuit since during power outages the Generac Generator takes about 30 secs. I will have to time how long the caps hold the doorbell up for.

Well I'm stuck. Came home yesterday to find the DB-11 disconnected from the network. Using the ConfigTool I can see that it keeps going on and off the network. Inspecting the device looks like its rebooting constantly. When I can get it to stay online long enough I can get to the config screen. Only thing odd is the Frame Rate setting. Its greyed out, set to zero, and cannot be changed no matter if I have bit rate set to VBR or CBR. I guess i'm going to try and hard-reset it next and start over.

This is what happened when I powered mine off and back on again. I had to press the reset on back to get it to return properly back to the network. Maybe you had a power problem?

Well I finally found reference to size of SD card for doorbell. I is not in the manual. It is not in quick start guide. It is in a spec sheet.

Max size is 64GB. Hopefully that will work when Micro SD card arrives tomorrow.

Factory reset and fiddled with it for a while and got it back online. I left it sitting with the IMOU app running and the camera died again. Note I also tried to save a configuration setting via ConfigTool at about the same time. So I suspect either the live stream or ConfigTool is causing the crash. I had to factory reset and setup again and its back online now. I'm currently watching it live via Blue Iris instead of the IMOU app and its been ok so far.

I finally got a SD in the DB11. 64GB is the max and you have to format it with MSDOS(Fat). It come with ExFat from Sandisk. Now I am playing with it to record history without buying their Cloud.

In preparation for eventually adding this doorbell camera to my “collection”, I checked out my doorbell transformer the other day, which is the standard 16 V, 10VA installed when the house was built in 2005.

Then I started thinking it might make sense to connect the transformer to a smart switch so I can facilitate easy power cycles for maintenance. I would probably install an Insteon switch, as I have those deployed already.

In the event I needed to factory default the doorbell, the smart switch would allow me to perform the operation myself versus recruiting a <complaining> family member to either hold the button on the back of the camera or power-cycle the breaker.

Thoughts?

All the other Dahua cameras I have installed had the ability to format the card, but I am guessing this is different due to the lack of a web interface?

FWIW, the above factory reset procedure with holding down the reset button while power cycling did not work to reset my DB-11. I tried it multiple times. What worked was holding the reset button for about 5 seconds until dark blue light came one, then releasing and hitting it again to start the hotspot (this is also whats in the manual). Power on the whole time.

Mine did not let you format in the iMOU app unless it is MS-dos(fat). ExFat could not be recognized by the DB11 on a 64 or 128GB Sandisk Ultra micro SD card.

I was able to factory reset by holding reset down for 20 secs when powering on breaker. Then you have to press momentary to get the DB11 to broadcast on its wifi to connect and reset up the doorbell using IMOU. Again I verified if power goes out then you have to get it working again by momentarily pressing the reset. Luckily the capacitors held the doorbell up for about 20-25secs. This is good as our Generac is set to come online 10 secs after a power failure.

Has anyone figured out how to make the DB11 record from the Main stream (1080P) instead of the Sub Stream (640x480)? The IMOU app seems very buggy. Hopefully just a user issue. I can set the still phone to SD or HD but when I try that with the video it only does 640x480.

M

PS - I just notice worst yet if you select HD (attached photo where arrow is pointing) in IMOU the doorbell goes offline in ConfigTool. Gees.........

Leave it in SD instead of HD. Thats what I did for the time being.
