I didn't see this anywhere in the Wiki, so thought I'd post it as it has reduced my CPU usage from 35% down to 20%. In Windows 10 Power & Sleep settings > Additional Power Settings > Change Plan Settings > Change Advanced Power Settings ....change the Intel (R) Graphics Settings to "Maximum Performance".

It might be an option particular to my CPU but, for me anyway, it has had a very beneficial effect.

Thanks for posting this.

I am using the "Balanced" power plan on a Dell Precision T3620, with an Intel Core 7th Generation i7-7700K Processor (Quad Core, up to 4.50 GHz, 8MB Cache, 91W). I have 17 2K cameras, and am sitting at ~17-22% CPU usage. Yes I know it is overkill. ;)

I have Windows 10 Pro (clean install), and I checked using your instructions, and am unable to change that setting, but perhaps you just neglected to document the extra step of clicking on "Change settings that are currently unavailable", so here is how I was able to change it:

In Windows 10 Power & Sleep settings > Additional Power Settings > Change Plan Settings > Change Advanced Power Settings
In the "Power Options" window that appears, select "Change settings that are currently unavailable".
Then I was able to change the "Intel(R) Graphics Settings" > "Intel(R) Graphics Power Plan" setting to "Maximum Performance".

Also of note, when the "High performance" power plan is selected, the "Intel(R) Graphics Power Plan" setting is automatically set to "Maximum Performance".

I would defer to @fenderman as to whether or not this is a good idea with Blue Iris.

No real changes on my system (15 cameras [4 and 8K's]. If anything, might be a bit higher 28 to 34%
