Hello,

i have 3 Dome Hikvison Cameras which are allready working with the Hikvision DS-7604NI-E1. Now i have also a new DS-KB8112-IM Video Intercom Device from Hikvision.
The default IP is 192.0.0.64.

My problem:
As i installed the 3 Dome Cameras, i connect it via PoE to my NVR and it works, with no problem. I activate the camera also via NVR.
But, now when i connect my new DS-KB8112-IM to the NVR, the NVR gaves the Adress 192.168.254.9 to the DS-KB8112-IM and the Status is "Detecting". The status never change. I allreday make an Reset, but it do not work. So i do not have any connectiong to my camera, also via web browser with 192.168.254.9:69004 i can not connect to camera. It only works, when i put it directly in my LAN Network via PoE Switch, so i can make an connection via webbrowser.

Maybe someone can help me please in this case, how i can install it via my NVR.

Thank you.

maybe the problem is, when i select DHCP at the DS-KB8112-IM and click "Save" and then i close and open my browser, the check box "DHCP" is empty. So it lost the check box "DHCP". I hope you know what i mean?

Why are you trying to connect the KB8112 directly to an NVR POE port? Using it that way it will not have outside connectivity, it will not be able to reach an indoor station, call you through hik-connect, etc.

Edit. Btw, the KB8112 does NOT use normal POE. So if you are trying to power it from the POE port, you need to connect it with 12VDC, or use a POE splitter.

I have one free PoE Port at the NVR, this was the reason, why i connect it to the NVR PoE port. I allready use hik-connect for my three IP Dome Cameras, and i thought, i can use also the KB8112 with hik-connect?

Because of the PoE. When i use my PoE Switch, it works with no problem. So, when i use it with Hikvision NVR PoE Port, i need further more a 12VDC power supply?

# Which device type i have to choose? villa door station or doorphone?
# Which firmware for the KB8112 you will prefere?

What i will do with the KB8112?
# if anyoine ring, i would like to have a picture via hik-connect app on my mobile phone
# i will open the door with hik-connect app, so i have to wire my magnetic lock

Oh; nevermind what I said about POE! KB8112 is indeed one of the few Hikvision video door bells (doorphone, or however they want tyo call them) that uses standard POE. So yes, it will work when powered by any standard POE port.

You can use KB8112 with Hik-connect. You can answer incoming calls, and you can open a magnetic lock. But I doubt you will be able to do so if you put it on your NVR POE port, since it will not have direct internet connectivity.

OK, that mean, when i connect it with NVR PoE it will NOT work? Is it correct?

Do you know, which device type i have to choose? villa door station or doorphone?

It WILL work as a camera; that is, I am quite sure you will be able to record the video on the NVR. You might have to configure it yourself? (activate the device, configure IP address, add it manually) I do not know, I have not tried that, since I do not see the point of having a doorphone that only works as a camera.

I do not think you will get any calling functions if you connect it to an integrated POE port on the NVR. But who knows, maybe Hikvision has been integrating that on their NVR firmwares.

I have no idea where you want to "choose" a device type.

OK, thank you for your help and informations!

With the NVR PoE ports it will not work. So, i will use my PoE switch for the KB8112-IM. I hope, in the future it will be possible with Hikvision NVR ...

Yes, connect it to your poe switch, not to poe port of NVR.
After connecting to poe switch, you can still add it to your nvr in order to make it record on the NVR.

Normel, how can i add it to my NVR? Because i use the PoE function of my NVR and as i know, only cam which are connected directly to the PoE ports can use with it.

Maybe you can help me? Thank you.

Just edit whatever camera you want, and add the KB8112 by hand (with your network IP, username and password).
