I have setup the camera with IVS tripwire and instruction, I can see the event and log from the NVR, but I am not getting the push notification from gdmss plus. Also, I get motion detect notification, any idea what I missed here?

For the gdmss, I only subscribe to the NVR, all the cameras are connected to the NVR, I didn't subscribe to the camera individually, would that be a problem? I don't think that's the problem as I still get the motion detect notification.

They did fix it recently and then it looks like it is broke again at least on Android. I had push notifications working good for about a week and tonight barely functioning. My wifes Iphone gets every push notification so it seems like it is still a Google/Android issue. Also they did update the app twice today which seems like they are trying to undo a new issue.

Try running gdmss plus on an Ipad or Iphone and bet it works there.

Indeed, on iPAD/iPhone it works like a charm (but it's not calles gDMSS but iDMSS).

Please note: subscribing to the NVR is not enough, you have to go into the IVS ruling, per cam and subscribe to each IVS "possible" rule.

Hope this helps!

Yes it is called Idmss (Iphone) gdmss (google) I guess. Below are screenshots from my phone and since they recently fixed the issue it was working 100%. Stopped working tonight and maybe gets 1 out of 10 IVS Tripwire notifications pushed out.

If you never had it working then you do not have something setup correctly on the NVR. See screenshots attached for what most likely could be causing your issue.

I'm running v4.31.001 updated today and all IVS work fine for me. To be honest the last update that came out Tuesday/Wednesday of this week also worked fine for me. Running on Galaxy Note 9

Notification in iOS work every time there an alert but after opening notification a couple of time to view the image or video then it get stuck at loading and hangs forcing you to have to restart the app to be able to view the image or video again. On mine, it hangs after 2 or 3 image viewings.

Iphone works great. But my android is the one with the issues. Reinstalled app as well, no option at all for the notifications settings. Almost like that option totally disappeared.

There is a bug in the current DMSS since the last update on the Android and the iPhone. Many of us here are aware of it and hoping for an update soon from Dahua to fix it.

If your wife iPhone iDMSS is working great (loading image or video every time after she click the notification alert) then she is either running the older version or a lucky gal. :)

Bump - Is this still an issue? I am unable to get IVS alerts through my iDMSS app.

Has STILL been an issue/PITA for me for months. I have upgraded firmware on the NVR and cameras, downgraded, reset, factory reset, uninstalled/reinstalled the app, deleted the IVS rules and redid them....nothing seems to fix it. Worked fine before all these firmware updates and now IVS events show on the NVR but nothing is pushed to my phone.

Did you guys at least search the forum and look for the various "reset" procedures lying around? I have had one hickup in the past 4 months, and had to redo that reset procedure only once.

<!> your NVR needs outbound internet connectivity on TCP2195 <!>. If that is not the case, it will not work.

step 1: UNCHECK the alarm feature on your NVR within DMSS. Simply deleting the device without unticking the alarm subscription is a recipe for disaster
step 2: if you couldn't uncheck the alarm feature, you are doomed, search a nice corner to cry out
step 3: just kidding, you càn try to delete the NVR entry from the app, but what's more productive is to clean the app from your phone, deleting all data/cached stuff. Then re-add the device with the local LAN ip address, no P2P or other shizzle
step 4: if you could uncheck the alarm feature, thén enter the alarm section, goto IVS and select the channels you want, do NOT forget to press the save icon (top right) before hopping back into the alarm menu
step 5: enjoy the push notifications!

Happy new year!

I had posted everything I’ve done thus far in another thread including factory resets, deleting the IVS settings, deleting my app...basically starting from scratch with my whole setup and I STILL get maybe 1 of every 20 IVS notifications pushed to my phone. They all still record on the NVR no problem, just nothing pushed to my phone. It all seems to revolve around the numerous firmware updates as noted by me and several other users. Still have no clue what’s wrong.

My apologies, I am very sorry I haven't read all your forum posts.

From the information you provide in this post, I am puzzled by the fact you do have working push notifications. In my troubled cases, it was either 100% working or 0% working. Not half-half. As these push notifications are like "fire&forget", the NVR is never aware whether (or not) those push notification arrive. They will never retry.

What I would do in your case: install something like wireshark (or simple tcpdump), especially listen on outbound TCP/2195. Trigger 1 IVS. Look at the packet stream. Trigger another 200 IVSs. Look again at the packet streams. I bet $2 that you'll see all the packets flying around your local network. It might be your ISP modem/router who is filtering those outbound packets... You might want to experiment with an outbound VPN service to see if terminating on the other side of the world helps to spawn these push notifications.

Hope this helps!

I will try that, it’s just frustrating because everything worked fine for years and then with these firmware updates it all went to hell. I saw another user having the same issue of transient alerts too.
