What is your take on Di-Electric Grease for Cat6 camera connections... especially in humid and wet locations?

I use it ever since I was having intermittent problems with a Ubiquiti radio. Put grease on the connection and problem went away.

I hate to sound silly, but on the connector or inside the connector?

One of the companies we work with is strongly suggesting we use a product called CorrosionX on connections to their components, rather than the traditional dielectric grease type stuff.

FWIW, the dielectric grease we use is Nyogel 760G.

From what I can see that appears to be a cleaner aerosol like deoxit or cramolin? Not an actual thick viscosity "grease" that will remain and protect the connection. It seems to be a cleaner which will dissipate?

It has cleaning activity and corrosion protection.

There are several varieties but the stuff I've used, specifically the HD variant, is not a grease in the sense of typical dielectric grease type of consistency. But, it is not like a DeOxit D5 spray (which I always keep on hand) nor a cleaner that evaporates like contact cleaner. It definitely leaves a coating/film.

See here, about 1:55 in, for what the CorrosionX HD looks like.

That's a great video and the product looks very good. I'm going to get some!

Thanks @Whoaru99 for posting this.
