Can't get Push Notifications to my iPhone

I've been struggling with this for a long time, and still have been unsuccessful in setting this feature up. I have performed the following steps. Am I missing something?

1. In the Blue Iris Options/Users page, I made sure that my user account was checked.
2. In the Blue Iris Options/Mobile devices page, I made sure that my iPhone was checked.
3. In the Alert page of each camera, I made sure that "Send a push notification to mobile app" was
checked, and selected a Notification sound.
4. I made sure that BlueIris.exe is allowed through Windows Firewall.
5. On my IOS phone, under Notifications, I made sure that Allow Notifications was turned on and the buttons for Sounds and Badges were also turned on.

I believe that covers all the steps to enable push messages to my iphone, however it still doesn't work. It doesn't work whether I choose "Test"
in the "Configure Push Alert" page, or when I trigger one of my cameras. I must be missing something, but I can't fugure it out.

Are you blocking internet access on the blue iris pc?
try deleing the device from mobile devices, restart BI then log back in and check the newly created box again.

Thank you for your reply fenderman. I did what you suggested above, however, I still failed to get a push notification. I tried triggering a camera and also pushed the "Test" button within the "Configure Push Alert" page.

I made sure that the blue iris app is not blocked by the Windows Firewall. I don't believe there are any other settings that I need to configure, but maybe I'm wrong.

does the pc have internet access?
What exact version of bi are you running?

The pc running blue iris does have internet access. The blue iris app on my iPhone app works fine in that I receive video from triggered cameras. The Release for my blue iris software states 4.8.4.3 x64.

I believe there was an issue with that specific version, update to the latest.

When I close the Blue Iris software, and restart it, I used to receive a pop-up that allowed me to download an update. That no longer happens. So, I don't know how to update the software. I noticed on the Blue Iris Options page, under About, there is a button that states "Upgrade/renew now". Blue Iris is a great value, and I don't mind paying. Is this how I get the latest version now?

you can still download for free direct from the blue iris website or from the download section of this site.

Hi Fenderman, it's been a while since I asked for help, hope you are still out there. I have the same issue showing in this post and I have the same version BI as this post, 4.8.4.3 x64. My BI works beautifully, I have not had to tinker with it for a year so don't want to upgrade to V5. How can I get an update for BI4 higher then 4.8.4.3 x64. so I can get the push alert notification to work on my iPhone? Than ks as always. Adam Farber

Hey, Your only option is to upgrade. It’s 35 bucks and well worth it.

Hi Fenderman, thanks for your usual rapid response, you are OK! Is the upgrade to BI5 at a point where it should be seamless? I know when it came out there were lots of problems so I just waited. Also, if I do the upgrade do I need an updated Iphone ap? Thanks, ADam

The initial issues with v5 were resolved after a few weeks. It has been out for almost a year. You will need to follow the directions in the 4 to 5 migration thread. Make sure you backup your settings and have your license key backed up. You will need to import your settings and enter your license key again after you uninstall v4 because of an issue with the v4 uninstaller that will never get patched.

its an issue that will never be fixed because its a problem with v4. Its takes 5 seconds to work around. Backup your settings by exporting them in the about tab, and yes, you will need a copy of your v4 key as it will transfer to 5.

There is a 35 dollar one time option or a 30 dollar recurring option

Hey Fenderman, sorry, 1 more, I hate to bother you but you are the best tech guy and fastest...Anyway, just to be clear, do I use the download V5 link or the PURCHASE full version. I have e-mailed tech support at BI asking how to get the discounted price as I already paid for the extended support but can't see how to pay just $30.00 or $35.00. and they take a while to answer and I want to do this this morning. Anyway, thanks, Adam

HELP? I figured out that the download is the correct way and I did that and I double click on BI5 and it ask for my username and password which I know are 100% correct but it just keeps asking for my password even though I keep putting in the correct one! Thanks, Adam
