IVMS 4500 Rel 4.7.3 Push Notifications Broken have you got it working?

Hi guys,

I made the mistake of updating to the latest IVMS 4500 4.7.3 on google store for android Samsung S6 phone.

Notifications were working slightly different CCH gray market cams were only working for motion, and WR was working for motion, line and intruder.

After upgrading the IVMS 4500 4.7.3 no notifications are working on any camera out of 5.

Nothing changed except the IVMS update.

Silly me I should know better - I need my head read - than upgrade anything Hikvision - and so now I don't get any notifications when intruders on my property - great surveillance capability Hikvision.

I had backed up the IVMS previous version with EASYBACKUP but it doesn't restore it.

Also enabling Alarm Notification is hit and miss - fails "not supported by device" but I delete and add the camera in IVMS a few times and got them to turn on.

Also Hikvision in their infinite wisdom default the remote playback to a 24 hour period now - whereas before you could change to the timeframe you desired.

You can change the time but it defaults back to 24 Hour period.

Has anyone had these issues and got around them?

Hikvision is so terrible I expect it will be 6 months to get this fixed.

I also read your post regarding other issues created by the update on another thread March 11th and feel your frustration. I'm not a Hik owner so I cannot help but was hoping @alastairstevenson might be able to.

Although not always easy to stick to, my favorite mantra (and I have several) is "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".

After 7 days broken ... nothings changed still have ivms4500 7.4 push notifications are sent I receive some.

Does Hikvision monitor this forum?

They should.

just a heads up while my push notifications were broken I changed my region in ivms to north america and what do you know push notifications started working.

So there is some Hikvision capability server involvement - as explanation for when it fails.

changed back to Oceania when things were working & now today push notifications are broken again none all day.
