I'm looking into a monitor that's mobile that can have 24/7 streaming mainly for the baby monitor A35 camera I have running. I have one AIO monitor displaying my streams, but it's stationary and the wife wants a monitor that she can move from room to room. She doesn't like pulling up gDMSS on her phone. I've tried using gDMSS on an LG tablet I have, but the app uses so much memory that it freezes after time, plus it's a big battery drain.

Dahua has the 7" VTH5221DW and I've read reviews. Is that what most of you are doing or are there any other suggestions?

Use a browser on a tablet and view the camera web interface, assuming it has one.

gDMSS runs fine on my old Asus tablet. It does, however, require the refresh to be pressed every few days. I've not investigated as it's a simple tap on the screen to fix.

Any screen is going to need to be plugged in if it's turned on for a length of time.

There are also other apps for camera viewing in the Play store.

I appreciate the recommendations. I can't install plugins on the mobile browser, so I'm tied to apps. I'll try a new app and if that doesn't work, maybe the hardware on my LG G Pad X 8.0 is just too weak.

use tinycam for live viewing as recommended. wont use any more power than a browser.
