My advice: only buy from vendors on which you did some due diligence to make sure they do not sell "grey" market cams. Which those, you have high probability of bricking your gear when flashing.

If you are interested in Dahua, do send a message to @EMPIRETECANDY - Andy has provided great service (in both quality of the order, price and shipment) for myself and many others on this forum. Especially if you are interested in real international versions! Still happy with all my IPCs and NVRs, so thank you Andy!

Hope this helps!

Most cameras from Chinese sources such as Aliexpress are Chinese domestic hardware with hacked firmware to make the cameras seem like they're English. YMMV varies being any product like this, and particularly with newer product you will have no way of upgrading the software. You will also face potential compatibility issues between hacked and Genuine English Dahua/OEM hardware.

There are multiple reputable sellers on Aliexpress (and other Chinese sites) but my only recommendation backing those above is Andy from Empire Technology.

If your looking for Dahua on ebay then 99% of them are hacked chinese cameras... most will say firmware cannot be updated which is a clear sign they are.

Straight from Andy about using hacked chinese cameras with english firmware NVR:
1. English language firmware will not run on a chinese region NVR. The NVR may be "bricked" by trying.
2. Chinese region cameras will not work with an NVR running english language firmware (i.e. a non-chinese-region NVR).
3. A chinese region NVR will not work with non-chinese-region cameras.
