Does anyone here have access or have the following cameras /system in 4MP version?

Reolink RLK8-410B2D2 – 8-channel PoE Security Camera System

I went to price an install to find they have already purchased the above and keep telling me how great they are because a friend has them!

I didn't want to come across as I was trying to sell them a new system so it was hard to argue the point without coming across like that.

Tired to explain focal length, 2MP vs 4MP at night, etc, etc... but I was hitting a brick wall.
Just looking for some real world footage for comparison so they can go and purchase something better.

Forget what others have related in this forum regarding Reolink's shortcomings, there's a big red flag with lights and siren in the above link wherein it is stated:

"The Reolink NVRs are designed for Reolink security cameras ONLY."

It's not worth it with this type of customer, if you want the installation job just called them a price for the installation and explain in writing that you're not responsible for the performance of the system. These are the type of people that are going to bitch about every little thing, and I assure you will complain and we'll and your star light cameras don't perform as well.

I was already there with your thinking @fenderman. My quote was only going to be for install and setup but I fear if anything went wrong with the system (due to the limitations) I would never here the end of it. I have no doubt they will also no best with it not being connected to the internet and insist on it and will not entertain VPN.

It's a shame really as I was recommend by another client who already has got me 3 supply and installs.
