Thought I share my latest project, hope it might assist with some others members

My most recent addition to my security system was a pair of IPC-HFW4239t-ASE 2MP cameras. These cameras were set up to monitor my two vehicles parked in the driveway. This was my third HFW4239t-ASE 2MP. With the first one, I was very impressed at its low light capability. Thought I could set up system without additional lighting. Unfortunately, our neighborhood is very dark. The quality was not what I was hoping for. (side note, I do have IR coverage of my cars with other cameras)

I did not want a bright obtrusive spotlight sending blinding light into the neighbor’s house. Searching amazon, this is what I found,

Mr. Beam MB970 LED spotlight

I’m really satisfied how it work out. Its battery operated (4 C cells), will activate at 30 feet. Its lighting element is 100LUX. For my camera, it’s way bright enough. My feeling, if anybody approaches the car, it will activate the light, causing the suspect to re-actively
Cam10.20190409_202522_1.jpg Cam10.20190409_202522_1S.jpg look up at the light, this giving a good image of the thief.

I’ve included photos/video it with the spot light off, and on. Also, a video of what I would see if someone approaches my vehicle.

Thanks aging for everybody on this great site.

Impressive! I cant seem to play the videos, but is it quick to react when the lights kick on?

Was actually looking at these last week. Lots of the reviews mention the fact that the compartments for the batteries are not sealed with a rubber seal and that their outdoor longevity could therefore be questionable. Since you have had them in your hands, what do you reckon?

Given that I live in a land where heavy sideways rain seems to be the norm, this is of great interest to me :)

I live in the desert, so not much as a issue. You can allway seal them with silicone tape. Great stuff
