Any of you guys recommend a Poe+ injector for Hik Ptz cams like the DS-2DE4225IW-DE? Several clients want a ptz added to their setup and using an injector would be easier and hopefully cheaper than a new switch. I’ve seen a few but they were more expensive than a switch.

Bit late replying but am using POE injectors with various Hikvision cameras. I have a 4220, which needs 30w and the others I have need 60w so have different models for those...let know if you still need recommendations and I will get the model numbers and links...

The Tenda is the actual injector I had spotted during my research. Price wise it couldn’t be beat as others I found were the price of a Poe+ router. Glad to hear you are using them without problems.

Just purchased and installed a new DS-2DE4A225IW-DE and it came with it's own injector supplied by Hikvison. Happy with the quality and end results.20190419_144732.jpg

If I am not mistaken, a Hikvision injector costs a fortune and you could get 3 Tenda injectors for one Hikvision when I priced it. Could be mistaken though.

So for future reference for anyone, I can verify that a Trendnet TPE-115GI works fine with a DS-2DE4220IW, and presumably any camera that requires up to 30w of POE power.

I also have a Trendnet TPE-117GI and a Planet POE 172 which work fine with a DS-2DE5425IW and DS-2DE7225IW, and presumably other cameras which require Hi-POE and up to 60w of POE power.
