Xeon CPu for B.I.

Ok I know in the wiki it says alot of used xeons are old and loud,
but this one is a 4 core setup server.

Would this as a server cpu be good for B.I. and my Plex Server?
Gonna be running 4 4k cameras for now.

Don't reinvent the wheel. Use an i5 as the Cliff Notes recommend. You'll save time, money and frustration. BI does not need a Xeon processor to run well and efficiently and a Xeon will make it inefficient at the very least.

Not a chance... These are old processors based on first generation I processors... Inefficient power hogs not powerful at all

see the wiki, not all i7's are created equal...

Not necessarily. I've been running BI on my Xeon servers for almost ten years. Just like anything else BI related you need to understand what you're purchasing and why. My BI install runs alongside other Windows functions that require ECC memory for long term stability of the data. So its a function that BI data benefits from as well.

if you do decide to go the route of Xeons use something from al least the past two generations that will include Intel graphics. Like the Xeon E3-12xx v5 or even better the Xeon E3-12xx v6 which will support H.265 hardware decode. Even then if I was building a new setup right now, I would go with the Intel Xeon E-2146G Coffee Lake CPU. At least you're getting 6 CPUs instead of 4 with the previous Xeons SP units.
