Having trouble getting my network side setup as the recommendations have suggested. I have a netgear router that has the option for OpenVPN but every tutorial I have followed it has not worked. I have also tried setting up Stunnel with no luck there either.
I want to be able to access the cameras with BI app outside of my network so the Vlan is not an option as I understand it. I will continue to try to find a way to either get Stunnel or OpenVPN working. I think that OpenVPN may cause some issues with the PC running BI as it also runs a Plex server that I don't believe is compatible with a VPN so Stunnel may be my best option. In the meantime I have disabled UPnP, manually opening a port for remote access to BI. I believe I have blocked my cameras from access to the interwebs, don't need ol' Xi Jinping tapping into my cameras from China.

Is there a way to test to confirm that the cameras are blocked? Screen shot of my router settings below. Cameras are IP 100-109. And any suggestions on some other tutorial for Stunnel?

What is on any of PCs in the network should not effect the operation of openVpn on the router. What is the problem with the setup of the openVPN. Be specific, screen shots will help.

Im not 100% sure what was wrong, but it would not connect to the stunnel, kept kicking out the connection. I will try to do it again tomorrow and get some screen caps.

Same with VPN. If you find anything that makes you comfortable installing and using please share.

I put together what I found with Stunnel in one area:
What are you using/doing to make your camera more secure?

The stunnel thread helped me set it up and it seems everyone had same issue was able to post a fix.

The most common consumer router VPN user error is trying to connect from the local network. The system is designed so that doesn't work. Turn off wifi on the phone to test when on the local net.

I do not use stunnel with openVPN. I would use OPENVPN and disable stunnel.

From home on you BI network with a phone on wifi can you connect to BI using either the BI app or UI3?

From home with wifi off on the phone, clicking the openvpn connection, does it connect , the icon goes green ?
