Hello, has anyone tested out theses cameras yet?
I have the IP Camera IPC-HDW5231R-ZE 2MP (purchase from Andy's amazon store) installed and was curious how these new 4MP starlight+ preformed at night under various lighting conditions at night. I wonder if "starlight+" is another marketing gimmick. Anyways, I saw the cameras on Andy's aliexpress site.

If I remember correctly we are waiting patiently for the reviews to come on the forum from the few sample units Andy got hold of.

In an unscientific quick side by side comparison a 2mp starlight sensor in a dahua 203 mini ptz and a IPC-T5442TM-AS-LED in my office (IR and led off) the 5442 produces a brighter and crisper image than the 2mp starlight.
These 4mp 1/8" sensors will become the new normal.

Review IPC-T5442TM-AS-LED (Full Color, Starlight+)
In a brief conversation through email I asked Andy which would he recommend between the HDW5231R-ZE and T5442TM-AS 4MP Starlight+ and he said the T5442TM-AS 4MP Starlight+ would be better than the 5231R-ZE although the newer T54422TM is a fixed lens and not motorized. I did end up ordering one 3.6mm T5442TM-AS 4MP Starlight+ from him. I'll be using it at the front door. I'll see if I can get it dialed in for decent facial shots.

As per my brief test, that camera outperforms the 5231R-Z/ZE, and seems close, if not even better, than the 8232E-Z/ZE.
