This is something that I would normally contact Ken over, but since I'm sure he's buried in hundreds of emails related to the upgrade to BI5, I'm hoping someone else here might know what to do.

Several days ago, a friend of mine, who I'd originally helped install blueiris, contacted me in a panic saying his system was no longer running. When I logged in with TeamViewer to see what was going on, I saw that his blueiris hadn't started. It was on the evaluation / license page indicating that is evaluation period had ended and he needed to enter a license.

I simply looked up his license key, and entered it. At that point BI4 resumed running normally and was acting as a fully licensed copy. 2 days later he called saying that the evaluation Banner was across all of his cameras. Once again I logged in, and saw that his blueiris was unregistered. I once again enter the key, at which point the software said it was now a licensed copy, and told him to keep an eye on it.

Then, last night my BI4 did the same thing. I started seeing and evaluation Banner on all of my cameras. When I open the console, it prompted me for a key. I enter the key which worked, for now. My question is what the heck is going on? These are two different PCS on two different Networks on two different isps. The only common factor is they are validating their licenses through the blue iris servers.

Definitely contact support and let him know which keys were affected. Hopefully he has sufficient logging on his server that he can figure out what happened.

Just to update: I did reach out to Ken, and while I didn't receive a reply, the de-registration of either machine has not happened again.

I also found a commonality between the two systems. When I initially helped my friend set up his BI system, I purchased the key for him - so it was registered to my name/account. Thus, when the 'glitch' affected his key, it probably somehow tied back to mine since they're registered to the same person? Anyway, so long as it doesn't continue to happen, I'm good.
