i unlocked it but still cannot send emails out.
just checked and my public ip is blacklisted in Sorbs and Spamhaus. i will try to delist and see if this has to do with the problem

i asked my isp to change my public ip and everything works fine now. it must have to do something with the Blacklist of my previous ip and also google must blocked me also for sending too many emails. lets see how it goes from now on. i think i will reduce somehow the notifications to avoid such issues in the future

I'm running this f/w -

Device TypeIPC-HFW5231E-Z
System VersionV2.800.0000005.0.R, Build Date: 2019-03-25

Unfortunately I could not get wireshark working for me to get a capture. Promiscuous mode was enabled by default. Not sure if my NIC supports that mode (an Intel I219-V, with latest updated drivers).
I'm a little late to the party but I finally got wireshark capturing packets correctly on a different PC. When I compare mail test sending using Hotmail (at bottom), there is a lot more TLSv1.2 activity shown compared to Gmail (at top).

So the question remains, I hope new firmware will resolve this ?

Attention:
dahua also receive this kind of complaint
Just change the smtp server into smtp.gmail.com, then can be sorted.

Andy, we've done Wireshark tests and freshcoast's tests suggest there is a problem with how the cameras are responding to the use of tls 1.3 by google.

OpenSSL 1.1.1, which supports TLS 1.3, seems to agree:

In regards to your issue, Google email TLS protocol has been updated. Therefore, we are having compatibility issues. Because multiply product lines involve in this issue, they will give us the firmware fix and upgrade plan probably tomorrow.
We will keep you update Avi,

I just noticed I have the same problem with my NVR5216, Haven't gotten anything from my gmail account since June 6. May want to sticky this thread as I'm sure many more people will be coming here looking for an answer.

I also encounter the same problem, no mail passes :(
We have more than wait for the fix DAHUA

@EMPIRETECANDY (You know me as Jay on skype) you can also add me to the list as all my NVR's and my customers NVR's and Cam's stopped sending out email alerts that I had setup using gmail. Only one is still working and that one is because I am not using gmail's smtp servers but my ISP's email smtp servers to send but using my Gmail address to receive. It continues to work and the test message works on that one, but fails on all the ones setup for gmail smtp. So for me this is the workout to use an ISP SMTP server until Dahua fixes this. I did also notice though that this is just a Dahua issue as a few days ago I set up a 4 year old Grandstream IP Camera for a customer to do Time Lapse Photography and I cam sending the images to a gmail address using the gmail smtp server and it still is working fine. Yet if I use those same settings on a Dahua cam or nvr it fails.
