Hi @wicked_chicken

FYI - I believe this may not be a Dahua OEM product based on how the NVR looks and comments by various members on another forum.

I have installed a Lorex packaged system for a client. They are pretty good, small hard drives, Cat 5 cable came in 100Ft Lengths so you will want to buy smaller ones or cut and recrimp on some connectors, cameras are ok, you can add more Dahua cameras later, system is easy to configure. I beleive it uses Lorex Secure App for remote viewing the cameras, No port forwarding was needed, just scan in the NVR to the app.

Sorry, wanted to make sure I understand. You think it is, or is not?

Most of the currently lorex product line are Dahua OEM ( w/o the IVS features ). You can look at the lorex compatibility chart - and if the NVR / cameras are not compatible with clearly Dahua OEM NVRs / cameras then it is another OEM's product. This maybe an issue if you are looking at augment the kit with Dahua OEM cameras.

Thanks!

Is there a thread I missed on packages that ARE Dahua OEM?
Hi wicked,

Vendors are constantly introducing new models - so it would take some time to keep up with the new models.

Feel free to check out the various threads here on Lorex to see what models we believe are Dahua OEM.

LaView Saturn line is Dahua OEM ( w/IVS features )
Montavue also carries Dahua OEM ( w/IVS features )
Amcrest also carries Dahua OEM - however some w/o IVS features.. note - I'm not certain about their NVRs, they maybe the more affordable models

There's also other vendors carrying Dahua OEM models, so the above is just an example of what I recall. ( some of the older Q-see models were Dahua OEM.. now they have a new OEM )

Of course Andy ( EmpireTecAndy ) is the one many of us prefer for cameras which vendors in the USA do not carry. ( also most of the cameras Andy carries are full featured and thus many have the IVS features )
