Hello
I'm unable to setup the wifi on a DS-2CV2Q212FD-IW camera.
Here are the steps I follow, thanks for your help :

Using internet explorer, when trying to connect to the IP address of the camera (wired), i have the following message : Access Error: 404 -- Not Found Can't locate document: /

Using Hik-Connect app, the camera is power on, offline.
I select add a device
I scan the QRcode of the camera DS-2CV2Q212FD-IW
I click on « connect to a network »
I select « Wireless camera »
I follow the steps to make a reinit of the device
I connect a network cabel to the camera (wired – same subnet)
The last voice message of the camera is « the deveice is added to the platform successfully »
On Hik-Connect : After entering wifi credentials, i click on next
After a few seconds, I enter the verification code as requested
I arrive on a screen « Add finished »
I enter the name of the camera, auto for port mapping, and admin password, then click terminate
The camera and image is visible in hik-vision.
-- The device does not appear as connected to the network via wifi
I power off, unplug the network cable, and power on
The camera says the following messages « Hello », « you’re device is ready for network connection. Please add you’re device to the mobile client software and complete configuration »
-- The device is still not connected to the network via wifi

search button in the forum works
this camera is a little different to set up but once done,it works perfectly
IT will not give you a web gui.
you will need ivms on a computer to set this up, then you can configure your wifi or wired connection to a nvr channel through a network switch or router

@mark2u, I'm pleased to hear you have some insights into this camera, as I'm stuck with it!

Unlike the OP I can successfully connect it onto my main network with the cable, or over WiFi using WPS. And I can connect it to Hikvision using the app. However, I really want to connect it to my NVR - and on the main network rather than the NVR's ports. But without a password the NVR won't connect to it.

Do you know is there some sort of activation process that happens when you connect it to Hikconnect? Does that set a password that can be used by the NVR and/or SADP Tool?

Perhaps I need to put it on the PoE NVR ethernet ports and the NVR will magically set it up? I could probably live with that but I'd have to put a router or WiFi switch on that port.

BTW I'm having trouble with iVMS, but on all cameras and the NVR itself - see my other post- so I can't really use iVMS for this at the moment at least.

Thank you if you can help at all.

What I do for these little cameras I have five around the house
My first thing is add it to iVMS usually get the older version as some of the new versions have problems with video out put on certain computers
Add the camera using admin and the password would be admin+ the verification code that comes with the camera
Also look at sadap and write down the ip it automatically gets
Then in iVMS change the password to what matches you nvr
Then delete the camera
Then re add the camera to iVMS with it’s new password
Then you can manually add the camera to a spare channel by filling out its IP address and password in the group section

Thank you! The key thing I didn't know is that the verification code is on the sticker next to the QR code and the password is adminXYZXYZ where XYZXYZ is replaced with the verification code. That's enabled me to add it to iVMS and discover a huge number of new options, like configuring the motion detection regions and sensitivity!

(It turns out that my iVMS problems are related to the HiWatch cameras and NVRs, the Hikvision-branded ones work fine.)
