There are a bunch of ways.

You can use BI's web interface (UI3) directly on a TV if it has a good enough web browser built in.

Or you can run an HDMI cable from your BI computer all the way to the TV.

Or you can buy a small computer to plug in to the TV and load UI3 there. Either of those you listed above would work, although so would a Raspberry Pi 4 or an Android TV stick of some kind, and those would be cheaper.

That is correct. You can even leave off the ui3.htm part when typing it in and Blue Iris should redirect you.

It doesn't run worth a damn on my TV's browser. Samsung UN40JU6700 (2015 model). Newer models should have more RAM and faster CPUs which should help drastically.

I have all my equipment in a media closet and have an hdmi going from bi pc to tv and a monitor duplicating the screen. If I’m in the house but not watching tv I’ll turn the input to it so I can see my cams while I’m doing housework or whatever

I use UI3 on my LG OLED TV, I’ve setup a quick button so a long press of 7 for example launches the browser on the UI3 page.
Nice I have the Samsung The Frame However I just try to login and as soon I login nothing happens.. I am guessing the Internet browser on the TV possibly does not support something.. Because it just comes to the login screen as soon I click login..

Off topic, I have never seen that before. I am loving it for my conference room and/or office!
That is a modern tv and should have enough power...
Yes, I love the TV it is absolutely amazing and in art mode almost everyone do not even notice it as a TV they usually say amazing art piece LOL

Here is a shot I have this behind dinning as a art piece :DIMG_5048.jpg

Both the username and password are case sensitive so make sure you type them in correctly. On my TV I checked the box to auto login and it just works.

I saw this post - looks promising to run Ethernet. Not sure how you would add a USB setup to this which would be nice to control BI from another room on your TV with a mouse:
Monoprice HDMI Extender Using Cat5e or CAT6 Cable, Extend Up to 98ft - Monoprice.com

The above has 2 ports (DDC AND TMDS)
I am guessing I cannot use the DDC/TMDS for the mouse and need to just place it in a separate USB port:
https://www.amazon.com/Monoprice-Extender-CAT5E-Connection-150ft/dp/B003L14ZTC

Has anyone tried this. That would be a pretty good setup to have another way to access main BI server.

Couple options depending on how far of a run this is.
1. Get an active HDMI cable from Monoprice.com - They sell them unto 100' and just run an HDMI cable from the NVR/PC to the TV.
2. If your run will be over 100' then get an HDMI over Ethernet kit and pull 2 cat5e/cat6 cables from the NVR to the TV where you want the display to be.
3. If you will want mouse control in this location as well look at USB over ethernet adapters so you can then place a USB mouse in the same room thus pulling another ethernet cable for this.

1. 100' HDMI over ethernet extender - cheaper then a 100' HDMI cable Monoprice HDMI Extender Using Cat5e or CAT6 Cable, Extend Up to 98ft - Monoprice.com
2. 200' HDMI over Ethernet extender - Monoprice HDMI® Extender using Cat5e/CAT6 cable extending up to 196 ft, Supporting DDC & HDCP - Monoprice.com
3. USB over ethernet - https://sewelldirect.com/superusbextender?gclid=ciqy05-ujsocfzgmaqod2qwc9a

So you should run 3 ethernet cables from your NVR/PC to your TV/Monitor location of choice. Use the HDMI extenders to provide HDMI picture (needs 2 ethernet cables) and then pickup a wireless mouse to plug in the USB extension thus giving you monitor control (on the 3rd cable).

I've done this with an Acer touch screen and Samsung touch screen monitor before giving full monitor and NVR control via a touch screen in another portion of the house that is mounted on the wall while the NVR is hidden/secure somewhere else.

Example, I have a 21" Acer touch screen mounted in our kitchen that is showing all cameras and also gives me full control via the touch interface, so I can replay, change settings, and even export to a usb stick or drive via the USB ports on the side of the monitor if I need to. Not to mention if I want to change the view so only a few cameras are displayed its quick and simple.

I bought a fire stick and Tiny Cam Pro. The fire stick is a tiny cheap computer that plugs into an HDMI port. I live Tiny Cam running all the time, so I just change my input source.

You need an Amazon account for fire stick?

I don't use BI, but the concept is the same if you are taking the the video out from the HDMI.

This is for extending the HDMI. It's not an expensive version, but I had the Monoprice equivalent for years and the flaw with it is the USB port power supply which started to become unreliable. For the product below you do not need the power adapter on the receiver end since it sends POE to it from the transmitter. It feels well made for what it is -

I use this for mouse control. Cheap, effective, no problems. - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CZC8728/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Wireless transmitter to a second tv in another room. Advantage to this model is that you don't need an extra splitter since it also has an HDMI out -

I don't have this, but it is intriguing since it sends both USB and HDMI wirelessly. No reviews yet, so buy at your own risk -
