Has anyone come across a way to mount a PTZ ( Dahua SD59230UN-HNI ) close to the ceiling/soffit?
(outdoor ocean environment)

I've been looking for a while and even asked Andy - Seems that there is only one option for a Dahua ceiling mount that is the PFA110+PFB300C (see diagram)

My challenge is that it is too long.
The PTZ is about one foot tall and the shaft on the (PFB300C) mount is over 9" then you have the PFA111 and in my case I will also need a junction box to connect the wires. That's about 2 feet tall.

Mounting options:

There are some manufacturers offering a short option (ie. Sunba 2 cm)

Do you know of another manufactures mount that will work/fit? (Dahua SD59230UN-HNI)
Or a way to modify?
Thanks

The end appears to have a grub screw. Can’t you lop off the end of the long shaft and remake the grub screw? Might need to buy a tap and die set but would hopefully look much neater than the non Duhua mount.

Like suggested above.. cut and rethread. Not sure what type od threads used but im sure a hardware store can fix you up.

Does anyone have the following parts to see if they fit together.
I was hoping that some of the existing mounting part could work......something like......
3 variations, option 3 might be the simplest if the parts fit.

(1)

Junction box (PFA137, PFA138, PFA139 ???)

Add (something like PFA101??)

will need to drill holes in top of the plate to attach to junction box

then a short piece of pipe to connect PFA110 to PFA101

OR (2)

(seal screw holes or maybe need to find or make another weather proof aluminum top plate)

Add a nut (or two) to hold PFA110 to top plate of junction box

OR (3)

There a quite a few different sizes of junction boxes. (ie. PFA136, PFA137, PFA138, PFA139)
Might be able to screw PFA110 into the back end of the junction box, flip it over, screw the upside down junction box to soffit and seal with caulk.

PFA110

So, If you have any of these parts that you could try, that would be great. Thanks!
