Hey Crew,

I've been running my 16 channel LTS system for almost 3 years now.

However, for a while now my Gmail notifications have been intermittently delayed. For example, sometimes I receive the alert moments after the "event" sometimes it's many hours later. From the beginning, I setup a gmail account for my NVR that is used exclusively for "sending" the alerts to my various email accounts (Gmail/ISP provided etc.). This account is regularly cleared out of alerts that are "aged" and thus prevents over-filling of the sent box and unhappy gmail. However, even following these cleanout best practices since day 1... over the past several months this issue has become an increasing and un-welcome annoyance. Also, my connection at the location of the NVR is a fiber gigabit connection with 1ms ping and over 900Mbps down and UP so speed latency is not the issue.

So, questions..

- Do you all utilize a separate email account for your NVR to send from (again mine is a GMAIL --> sending to another gmail account I have and a personal account from my ISP)
- Do you all send and receive to the same account... is that faster?
- Is there an option 3 I completely missed I should be doing here?

Am I completely off on my setup here? I'm open to your suggestions/recommendations and hoping to resolve this as I plan to update upgrade so I'll be re-configuring things here soon regardless.

Thanks in advance,

I use a separate gmail account just for the notifications. I don't send to a gmail account but use SMS SMTP addresses and sometimes I end up getting the alerts delayed as well. By chance do you have the app on your phone? Android/iPhone?
