The situation here is much better than Jan and early Feb now in China, the whole country were freezed, so control the virus spreading. Right now only Wuhan still have hundreds infection everyday, the death rate is high , death from 29 years old to 90 years old. Stock market surely will down, factories shut down due to no workers , no materials. Masks will be a big problem, because whole China still lacking of them. So can't make any exporting right now.

My experience is
Don't go to busy places and wear masks when you take subway, buses,or shopping. At opening places, no need to be worry. Stay at home with families.Wash hands frequency!
I took this pic on Sunday, everyone seems still at home.
If the virus really big spreading all over the world, the online shop will be very good business, because right now very seldom people go outdoor to buy, all book online and can deliver in 30-40mins after make orders.

By the way Many are concerned about receiving boxes from China/HK with the virus, we all use DHL shipping way, and all boxes sterilized before shipping, and warehouse guy wear masks and gloves when package them. US customs also will inspect all shipment from Asia, so no worry at all.

I'll admit that along with the case of Gold Dots (which I wouldn't have normally bought but got them for a steal $350 for the case delivered!) I did finish my zombie virus/early hurricane apocalypse supply run today. We're set for either if we have to hunker down for 30+ days. Water source is always a concern, but I can store almost 200 gallons of drinking water, have a pool for flushing/washing, and have to assume they'll try and keep the utilities up and running.

Thanks for the update Andy! Was just thinking about you today but saw you posted over the weekend so I wasn't overly concerned. I wish I could offer you masks or goggles, but they seem to be in short supply in my city, plus from what I've seen reported, I don't have faith that they would get to you. Keep being safe and hang in there!

C'mon - y'all need to be positive and see the upside of this.
The air pollution rate in China has dropped 25% so far.
And look at that traffic in Andy's picture - sweet.
Lol not all cities have smog, because lots of factories lack of workers and materials. But the air is really good now.

Here are a couple of posts from an American that lives in China (well he is in the US right now).

19th of February, 2020

I live in China. 2 days before it was exposed, I just happen to have trsveled to the US. Now I am stuck here for several months until I can return. I can tell you from my sources there, that it is bad.....real bad. It can and will spread into the US in greater numbers. Wash your hands, do not touch people.

21st of February, 2020

I am from a 2nd tier city (9 mil+) in SW China. Just 2 days ago the police actually called me to inquire of my condition. Told them I was safe and currently in the US.

My friends in China are not allowed to drive or move about the city. Cannot meet or have friends visit. Allowed to leave their house once per day to go to the market and then return home. Have to use their phone to scan a barcode at whatever place they go. No scan, no enter building. Then scan again upon leaving. All apartment complexes are locked down and no one can enter or leave without scanning and listing their destination and time of return. No one may travel from their city, or allowed entry into another city.

In Wuhan, hospitals do not take in people anymore. They are told to go home, left untreated to "ride it out". Many people are dieing in their homes and left undiscovered. Phone vids on the net show some people collapsing in the street in Wuhan. They have run out of body bags there as per hospital staff.

Things are not as MSM (Main Stream Media) reports. I agree panic only makes the situation worse, however the fear of this virus IS very real, and I say again, take this seriously and be cautious anywhere. BTW, try buying a face mask in the USA. This problem needs everyones attention and vigilance, WASH your hands, do not touch people (handshakes, etc). This is not panic, just common sense.

SARS does not hold a candle to the Covid-19. This one is very dangerous.

Iran's deputy health minister: "I have coronavirus"

Just yesterday, a day before "I have coronavirus" he was symptomatic - yet masks not required. Wondering how many at this press conference on "you don't need to worry" are now sick...

Sir, perhaps a tissue would be in order during your press conference...

Everything is back to normal now step by step. Yesterday i found many resturant opened again, business is good, because they closed around 5 weeks.
Most places in China right now no infection. But when we go outdoor, still have to wear masks. The Wuhan is the center of this virus, thousands patients went to hospital, make the doctors badly infected, so the whole medical system crashed. That is why this virus such dangerous. If protect well, i think can back to normal when weather is warmer, like Singapor and HONGKONG, the infection is not such fast. The weather there is a little hot now.

The Scan is showing your data(Name, age, where you go in the past 2 weeks) on it, becuase Chinese gov require all guys return from other Provinces have to stay at home for 1 week, if from Wuhan/Hubei need 2 weeks. Not totally stopped, pepole can go outdoor to buy anything. When you leave your apartment, go to the supermarket have to measure the body temperature.
Right now if you travel within China is OK. The guy posted several days ago, the market he said is a huge one, has around 1millon people work and visit there normally, so if not clost the market will bring big problem. Most market are very busy and crowd , and the clients are from all over the world, if not close it, these guys will bring virus all over the world.

Wow... I don't think I've ever started a thread that went 20+ pages. Good to see my concerns weren't unjustified.

Today I listened in on a CDC press call where various press/reporters asked questions via telephone. I was astonished at the level of seriousness expressed by the girl making the initial statements. Something to the effect that this is a pandemic, and everyone in the US should be making preparations NOW. Contact your kid's schools to find out what the contingency plans are, etc. Very sobering. I think that was the first acknowledgement that this will cause significant issues for Americans. It was almost a foreshadowing of something coming in the next few days. I suspect they will be announcing many more infected Americans across the country - as an additional 400 tests were conducted yesterday/today and the results are expected shortly.

If the media takes those comments and prints them, I think the window to casually shop and prepare will slam shut immediately. I'm making another run to town tomorrow to finish of my preps.

Good luck and God speed to all...

Get a grip. We all die. Why not tomorrow for fuQ sakes.
Sure. I have a 5yo and 6yo kid that depend on mom and me. If it was just me, I'd say bring it. But I can't be quite that selfish anymore. Must be nice not to care though.

I hear you. I always worried myself sick that my kids were going to die. Then I came home from work one day and found my daughter dead. She faced it all alone with no one by her side. So I’ve come to understand that I’d be a coward if I couldn’t face it. SO FUQ THE FEAR. I just hope I’ll see her again when it comes.
