Pandemic threat? Anyone else concerned?

I think a QR system is appropriate in the timeline we're in now, especially when kids still think that roaming around and holding hands at beaches is going to solve the crisis. In fact they're contributing to the crisis. Condom shortage = rise in the number of STD cases. Only in a crisis like COVID-19 should a "temporary" QR system be implemented, otherwise as you said, it can be perceived as a violation towards someone's liberty and freedom. I don't think the free world is inept by any means, but when there is a time to be serious about something, its time to be serious about worst-case implications on the country as a whole. Being from the free world it can be difficult to fully see the magnitude of consequences of a communistic regime. Haven't heard news from North Korea in a while.

Its not spam, this thread is a permathread for all sorts of discussion on COVID-19. I try to put everything on one post, but I'm pretty much reading and watching coverage of this pandemic throughout the day (from news articles to televised coverage to science journals). I do agree its pretty excessive. However, You won't see me on other threads posting at this frequency. Even the mods and other users welcome the discussion of the global pandemic on this forum; its affecting everyone as well as everything on the supply chain. I've yet to be issued any warnings on my posting behavior. I make sure that everything I post is relevant to discussion. There's been no indication of anyone feeling like they've been getting spammed.
