Wild fires and smoke is not giving enough chance to work outside right now :( I have to move one of the Down Sprout out of the way to mount the camera. Also the glass I ordered for better lens optics I was able to at-least install that couple of weeks ago or swap it out with friends help.. So that is already done :D

Hopefully once the smoke clears out from all these wild fires can re-visit this and get this installed. Also another thing stopping was the drive space itself recently added more disk and got it to where it can now is ready atleast for those too. Hopefully soon cant wait to get this beast running as well :D It be nice Will definately update here.

On another note thanks to you Parley and your 4/3 review. I just convinced one of my friends to get 4/3 ptz and he is getting it next week. Andy is shipping out today or tomorrow I think. So will be helping him get that installed here soon as well once the smoke clears :D

From here it looks smoked but it could just be the camera. I'm guessing you went with Low Iron Glass? If not, it would have been my choice behind only fluorite.

Not too sure what kind of glass but it is clear not smoked glass. My friend who helped me with installation of the glass who knows a lot more about glass than me said it is an " Double Strength" Glass.

The glass was ordered directly from Dot Workz the case for some reason comes with a plastic glass lens installed unless specifically asked for glass. So I bought the case with plastic one than realized there was an glass option ordered the glass lens separately and installed it :D

Hopefully much better for optics and cleaning at the same time vs plastic.

WoW, why not just hire a security guard to patrol your premises with a GoPro.

The camera night capabilities are awesome, like how it even accentuate the stars in the night sky.

So smoke is finally Clear. I just placed an order for Stainless Steel Custom Hat Bracket, which will go over the Down Sprout and then that will attach to the stucco wall and the camera mount will get attach to the Bracket.

I hope it can handle camera weight the Stainless Steel is 11 Guage. I am no expert in metals. Hopefully I made the right choice for this bracket.

Just placed an order as soon its here installation will begin..

11 gauge is relatively heavy duty stuff. ~1/8" thickness. You should be OK.

Cool Awesome Thank you for that info. Do you know if I can paint it ? I was thinking paint it black so it can kind of blend in or not stand out.. I guess. I guess dont have to worry about water or rust since its stainless steel it be just soley for looks to make it hide as much as possible :D It is brushed stainless steel I believe.

You can. Rough it up some first with a scuffing pad or similar and get it clean of any oils/grease/etc. That will help with adhesion. Depends on the stainless how resistant it is but for an application like that you won't see much if any rust/corrosion with just about any. Most likely will be 304 and will be fine.

Can have it powder coated too. Don't know if the guys doing the forming for you can do or not but might ask. Shouldn't be much for a part like that if they're set up to do it. A can of spray paint will be cheaper. Just may need to touch it up more often.

I know this may sound funny, but I'd try spraying it with flat black Plasti-Dip first to try. I love Plasti-dip LOL.... you can peel it off if you don't like and a can is cheap ($6). I plasti-dip my winter snow rims wich clear to protect them. We use lots of stainless steel at my work and it won't (shouldn't) rust, just keep bleach away from it as bleach can cause it to pit and look poor. Like @Mike A. said, a bit of light scuffing and really clean it well. Stainless doesn't like paint as well as regular steel but with prep it's fine. Try the plastidip route first, you may be suprised. Oh, and 11 gauge is very sturdy!

Can't wait to see this cam, I'm drooling over it's capabilities - wide view, 4K. Do you mind me asking what the entire set-up will end up costing - so I know how long to save up for. I've come to the mindset that I just want the best cams if I'm using these to see things, but I need to save for one over a bit of time... Can't wait to see your reviews and shots from it.

Yeah I will have some shots from it soon once I get the bracket. I ordered. In terms of cost this one can really get expensive.

So If you wanna get just the Cam with the 35-70mm Lens I think it will set you back 8k + your local tax. Another $700-1000 For the Enclosure box. Now I am also drooling on some of the other E- Mount Low light lenses like

Which will set you off another 2.1 k + Tax :)

So possibly 10-12k for this setup alone. There is a Dahua 4/3 I think which is a really really good one and with auto tracking can do really well as well at night. @Parley has a great review on it.https://www.ipcamtalk.com/threads/dahua-4k-ptz-dh-sd8a820wa-hnf.44304/

Good luck hopefully in future the price drops for it.. Or we have more options in 35mm and cheaper hopefully. Even though as Much I love this cam remember this is a fixed camera and not PTZ or even with Motorized zoom or anything so that is the reason I think 4/3 is still kind of best of both worlds :) And AI track is just bonus and huge.. But I still do love the sony 35mm as well just because so far it was and I think still is the only security cam on planet with 35mm full frame sensor.

I think your 35mm cam is the best overview cam and you could use it's capabilities to "spot" for the PTZ cams so that they know where to move and zoom to. Having such a wide FOV and so crisp and image in low light makes it great for that purpose.

That is exactly its job its going to be and it will do cross with 4/3 on the other side so I can get both color shots at night in very depth hopefully :)
