I found it in Lorex as IPC TIME SYNC. So I changed them to sync every hour and removed the NTP sync from the camera. I found me links and a video on this. So on an hour I’ll see how it is doing and post back.
Would this have anything to do with the Chime issue? Are they pushing their own Chime?

Here fixed the time sync issue in the ONVIF application. It kept syncing to China DNS servers and switched it here. The Batch Configuration program always showed the right settings.
Here time sync to a local GPS / PPS NTP server running on my PFSense firewall. Historically did have issues with time syncing here using first generation Grandstream IP cameras. It was mostly relating to the format used for the time and the time changes which occurred in the spring and fall.
Time stamps now look good. Checking here with an overlay and internal time presented.

I just need to figure out the right sequence of a manual update to NTP, an apply button and 2 ok buttons. Lol. I found a Lorex video but it must not be for my NVR model. Ugh

It's not that they're pushing, because they would lose all their base of old customers, it's just that they screwed up in the latest firmware for which declared a SMART and EXCITING feature for chimes.Would this have anything to do with the Chime issue? Are they pushing their own Chime?

I'm looking for help with installing my DB1.
I have fitted a new transformer:
and if I run the existing doorbell wires to the DB1 it works perfectly.
The problem I have is I need the DB1 to chime my mechanical chime.
I purchased a Byron 776 which came with an integrated transformer, this is only 8v so not powerful enough for the db1, so I have bypassed this transformer.
So I have it wired as follows:
Out of transformer to DB1.
Out of transformer to power kit to mechanical chime 0.
Mechanical chime 2 to power kit back to DB1.
Should this work? I've spent hours and can not get it to work other than wired directly. Any help would be appreciated.

final update I hope. So nothing I did on the Lorex NVR would work. Every hour it went back to UTC time. So I logged in through the web interface and set the time. IT WORKED! At least for the last 3 hours. I have it set to update every hour.
Very interesting that I had to use the web interface and not do it on the NVR. But I did upgrade my transformer for the doorbell and get it moved to run off my UPS. . Now my doorbell camera runs for about an hour during a power outage. Yep. I am a nerd like the rest of you. Thanks for the suggestions. Hopefully this also helps someone else.

Thanks. All my cams are on a UPS units. Network gear and router also. I use a Vera for my alarm system and set up a power outage notification. Saving $70 a month for what Vivint wanted to charge me.
I am a Konnected fan, just got the second Gen. Pro board a month ago, we do our own self monitoring, though we could pay someone too, but all they do is call you when alarm is tripped, we get plenty of notifications without any service fee and no cloud services either.
I am like you except our Doorbell is the only thing, presently not on a UPS. Plan to change that by running some electrical wiring from our MDF to our transformer, one day
This is my present MDF, just finished it this year, after getting Ethernet wiring to all rooms. Network consist of all Managed switches with 6 VLANs/Subnets, pfSense Router on a 4NIC box. Really happy with the setup, Enterprise networking with TP-Link switches and a VERY reasonable cost. I think my whole setup, 24 port, 16 port, two 8 port switches and pfSense box cost less than one Cisco switch and about half or more the price of an Ubiquiti setup, oh and two managed APs. Not putting down Ubi, they have some real nice equip.
This is an older picture, it looks better than this now, finally cleaned up wire management.
On the Konnected Alarm, I got in at the tail end of the Kickstarter project, had 2 hours left when I ran across Nate's site...Met Nate when he came to our town. He has quite the DIY product...

If you use PoE cameras, the main switch (the backbone home network) and servers should always be under UPS. That's why I didn't start the project, I have to decide where to locate my mini-datacenter, then I'll put the rack, the UPS, and I'll cable everything with gig-ethernet. Right now, for me, budget is the only problem. But I'll start compiling the shopping list of cameras, decide their location, which type of cable, which kind of switches, etc. It will be fun.

I just bought a plug in and ran new bell wire to my closet from in the attic where the existing bell wire hooked into the undersized transformer. I'm thinking to do fiber where I'll put the rack, together with NAS and a server. In the rooms and externally (cams and external plugs) just cat6. I believe this could be the issue too. I've ordered a Byron 771 which will be delivered tomorrow.
