Just want to get your opinions about this house of camera placement. Thank you
Hi @Opeth,

I like to have more cameras covering the entrance to the house, even if only a smaller home.

I want everyone who walks to the front door to pass through at least 2 camera FOVs, and the same for anyone walking to the garage.

I have inside cameras looking at the doors. I also have three cameras at the front door out side area. One of the cameras is mounted no higher than 4 feet up, pointing out. One covering the package drop area.

Add cameras to cover the driveway. Cover both sides of the cars in the drive way.

If you want to ID the person, mount the cameras no higher than 7 ft (2M) .

Test , verify your camera placement, have a friend wearing a hoodie, ball cap and sunglasses looking down approach the house, can you identify them at night ?

I suggested install 2 cameras on the driveway but the client want 1 for now but my question is install one at nnumber 5 and later install another one behind number 1? Or it is better to install both at the midle of the driveway and point them opposite directions? Also at the other side of the house ii is ok for you the point of the cameras?

The driveway cameras need to cover the car doors of cars parked in the driveway. In the USA we have door checkers, people who come around at night and see if any car doors are open.

Hi Opeth,

Is the home currently under construction?

If the home walls are already up, you can show what a difference extra cameras can make.. and let the client decide.

If it was mine place, I would run more cables now...
