Holy sh*t. Pity the the resolution's so low although I think at that distance with wide angle a plate would always have been difficult.

Any news on anyone being caught?

Wow I would say its not random, The witness warns her NOT to leave and she has her eyes on the pickup truck.

It sure looks like the woman being shot at knew who the shooter was. As soon as she saw him, she hauled ass. (Or maybe just saw gun).

This is why I tell everyone to buy a Wyze Cam, even if they already own a Ring or Nest camera. A Ring doorbell would not have caught that entire incident. You don't appreciate the value of 24/7 recording until crimes like this occur.

Of course, a good Dahua camera could have recorded the shooter's license plate, but that's another thread entirely. :)

According to the latest reports: "There’s no clear motive but police said the victim knew the gunman."

No kidding. Only an ex-husband or ex-boyfriend would be that deliberate about cold-blooded murder.

Tbh not withstanding it couildn't capture the plate, the picture quality is dreadful.

Upon watching the video again, you can hear the driver state 'he shot me' as she goes back into the apartment. The screaming woman should have called the police immediately instead of just screaming. Someone opens a door on the left side of the building across the street where the pickup was parked after the pickup reverses. I do not think that the screamer knew what was about to happen, I think she thought they hit each other and that is what she was saying to the driver. Also, the driver moved the car forward a bit before backing up. Kind of strange. Shooter is not a professional for sure, one hands the first several shots before finally using both hands after the woman's SUV is out of the frame. He is right handed. When they returned, he got out but looked behind himself and got back in the pickup and left. The woman had her phone in her right hand as she entered her SUV. But when she gets out and runs into the apartment, it is in her left hand. Wonder if she had the presence of mind to dial 911 while she was being pursued?

It looks to me like the cam is inside the apartment behind a window. You can see reflections in the video. The video is crap. Can't even ID the driver as she runs into the house. Forget make and model of the pickup. Even calling the color is up in the air.

My thoughts on the screamer exactly - run in and get a gun if you have one, If not grab a phone and call 911. Better still do both! What if the guy had gone to the apartment after coming back? Having the police already on the way could have made the difference.

I also agree it was amataur. Rather than blocking her in, why didn't he simpl;y drive over, park next to her and shoot her out of his passenger window before she got the car started? He'd have been stationary parallel with the drivers door, and would have had unlimited free stable shots as the engine was off and the vehicle static.... Only reason I can think of him not doing so, was the camera but then again would he have known it wouldn't have picked him up 1/2 way across the street? If the camera was inside, I doubt he knew it was there. She was very lucky he was amateur in approaching the car.

Would be great to know the back story here as I have a feeling the woman wasn't an entirely innocent party unless this was a random gang banger looking to prove himself. The guy looked very determined by coming back though.
