Hi,

I have a DS-KB8112-IM with latest firmware (v1.4.5 190219) that works ok when I use it myself on my Hik-connect account. When someone rings on my door, I get a notification on my mobile, I can answer, all working fine.

BUT, if I share the unit with another Hik-connect used, with all permissions enabled, it will not ring on the shared account. To make sure it is not a mobile problem I have tried both accounts on my mobile; when I am Hik-connected on the main account, it works just fine, when I am Hik-connected on the shared account, no notifications.

Could someone with a workinf DS-KB8112-IM unit try to replicate the problem? So I can at least know if it is my problem, or a limitation on the firmware/unit.

I have thought about geting an indoor monitor working, so I will get the notifications from the indoor monitor instead from the doorbell; but I am also not sure if this way the shared users would get the notifications.

Thanks!

Answering myself; there is no easy solution for this. There is no updated firmware, so notifications will not go to the shared users.

One possible solution is to use a gen 2 indoor monitor, so the KB8112 calls the indoor monitor, and then the monitor can notify shared users via Hik-connect.

See this link for the same issue I'm having... Link

Got a reply from Hikvision saying after updating the firmware I must restore factory default settings and see if that works. Haven't tried this yet.

I am still running V1.4.5 build 190219, I haven't tried any newer firmware. Maybe I will give it a try at the v1.4.6 that you are linking on the other thread.

After updating, delete the webcomponents plugin on your computer, so when you connect to the unit it will download and install the right firmware. That might be the reason why you are missing options on the web interface.

I also have 1pc of the newer DS-KB8113-IM1 which I thinks solves this, but I still haven't bothered trying it.
