Hikvision PoE camera

Hi Gurus, I bought a new 8port Hikvision NVR to up grade from my 4port NVR, the problem I'm experiencing is the existing Hikvision cameras don't work on my new NVR ,can some please provide some reasons why. Many thanks

check the cables, you may got a loose connection
i lost 30 mins to figure one bad connector, the camera wasn't negotiating the poe with the switch correctly
happens to the best of us

The cameras are currently working on the 4port nvr. So won't be a loose connection

You need to manually configure the cameras on the new NVR (IP, user, password). You can also default them, and when you connect them to a POE port on the new NVR, the NVR will activate them with its own password, and auto-configure them.

don't give them all, start making one work. obviously you make some simple mistake (setup/scan and input pw for each camera is described in manual, we won't repeat that)
without explaining what you do tried, we keep losing time watching this thread

We have seen many instances that sometimes cameras can be more sensitive to power fluctuations, so maybe the 8port NVR is pushing just enough on the threshold to work, but a bad cable looses just enough that the camera doesn't turn on...
