Doing some tinkering. Instead of Dahua internal SD card, was able to send .DAV videos and .JPG to NAS instead.

I successfully tinkered and was able to save Dahua camera snapshots & videos triggered by IVS to my NAS shared folder instead of using the internal SD card. I was just playing around trying to fine tune my IVS intrusion/tripwires. Completely useless other than backup purposes. It would be handy if the Data Src on the Dahua GUI playback screen was able to select the NAS shared folder instead of only SD card. I assume, this is not possible? If it was possible, would have lesser need of having SD cards in all my cameras.

Most of the Dahua camera (not very old) have option to record at least on FTP... and in emergency if LAN is down on local SD card.

It’s not useless. Just depends on your purpose. My road overview cam sends all IVS triggered snapshots to my NAS at night. Then I can browse all those snapshots the next morning from any networked computer in my house to quickly click through all the cars/people that passed by the road or walked by on the sidewalk. If I see something strange, I note the time stamp and head to BI to pull the video.
