Hello people,
Thank you in advance for being part of the group.

I recently purchased 2 units for a customer of the "DS-2CV2141G2-IDW" model, one of the only Hikvision cameras with WIFI that should work well...
The question is, I want to activate the platform and in no way can I... I've already changed the portal, DNS, ip's, unlock on the network, use the router's DMZ, update the firmware to the latest version, finally EVERYTHING, with a result = OFFLINE :banghead::banghead::banghead::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

I can't get this to work at all... does anyone have experience with this type of equipment?
I look at the competition and Hikvision seems to be falling behind... I have installed a lot of hikvision NVR and Camera equipment but so I don't see a positive development... is this another one of those hikvision situations with no resolution?

I notice that in installer mode with Hik-PROCONNECT, I have the equipment listed in the list, which should work.. this doesn't make sense...

can you help please?

Thanks
Best regards

so a safire camera with email notifications is more effective than this type of hikvision cameras with WIFI...

If there is any more opinion or resolution I accept.

it's unbelievable how via WIFI they don't allow this use.. incredible

Not a single hikvision camera with wifi will work directly with cloud anymore. Models that did needs to be on old firmware, as soon its upgraded you are losing that option.

ps: Saphire is rebranded hikvision :)

I can vouch for this, they have removed the option to connect to P2P/Hik-connect when using wifi.
It just doesn't make any sense... If I get a model with wifi, it is because I plan on using wifi. Otherwise I would never be using one of this newer models with external antennas.

I would say that the Safire version of this camera (SF-IPD821WHA-4PW) also can NOT work with "Safire connect" when using wifi?

Safire may not have communication to the portal but they have the option of SMTP ie notification to email (at least)....

Does anyone get an old firmware to be able to load this camera model?

This is really going back in time.. even cameras from the consumer range like Amazon or Chinese stores are better than this.. how is it possible :banghead::banghead:

as you can see in the initial image, the option with WIFI is there but it just doesn't work.. I believe that if it works with cable, it's enough in the programming to eliminate a small condition...

Wifi works. P2P/Hik-connect works (when using wired connection). P2P/Hik-connect does not work over wifi. Why wouldn't it work on a camera that has wifi? Because Hikvision removed it. Why did they do it? I have no idea.

SMTP options should still be there.

It is a deal under the table with EZVIZ. Presumably EZVIZ paid hik to leave wifi market to them.

Cameras do work with wifi over cloud if the firmware allows it. If your still does, do not upgrade. Downgrading is made pain in the ass, since the new firwares that disable wifi cloud option, does not allow downgrading. Only way to successfully downgrade is TFTP using UART port for commands.

Ahhh well, that might be it.
EZVIZ is part of the Hikvision family, so I do not think they even need to pay anything to themselves. EZVIZ is marketed to end users/consumers.
EZVIZ cameras can actually be used with Hikvision app/P2P system/Hik-connect.

They were part of hikvision till october 2 years ago. Now its all under the table :D. I.E U can add ezviz camera to hik cloud but not vice versa. The cloud was splitted.

So I just tried with a SF-IPD821WHA-4PW (rebranded DS-2CV2141G2-IDW) with firmware v5.5.120 build 210209, and it does connect to P2P over wifi. It looks that it is only Hik firmwares that have removed the P2P ability over wifi.
There is a newer Safire firmware, same version but different build (v5.5.120 build 211110), but I have not bothered trying it.

I have also been able to add it to Hik-connect account and EZVIZ account with no problem.

I can already see that to have a thing as it should be we have to make this type of "plays" with safire firmware, waist game with Hikvision and finish with EZVIZ... :banghead: :banghead:

now I want a version with a minimum 4MP lens, and I'm going to have to "marry" EZVIZ's CP1/C6 4MP model with the hik-connect app.. it seems that everything is the same right? is the hik-connect app also able to receive notifications?
will be connected by WIFI

I'll try... (I'll have to take it out of the support there, it's abroad)
It seems that Safire is ahead of all this.. (hik vsEZVIZ) hikvision we are only paying the brand

Just use Safire models if you are fine with them. You should be able to add them to a Hik-connect account with no problem, mixing Hikvision and Safire devices if you want.

If you have an NVR, you will have to connect them as ONVIF.

but there are some things that are not available in Hik-Connect..
I had a problem configuring and adding the safire video intercom, for example, even using the IVMS4500 application..

If it's safire, do you also get motion alerts, etc in the Hik-Connect app?

these indoor cameras with WIFI, are only the best from EZVIZ (4MP with good quality) but I'm afraid if it doesn't work with Hik-connect (alerts, configuration, rotate 360, etc)...

Hi all. On a similar thread, I've had 3 EZVIZ wireless cameras connected to be Hikvision NVR for about a year. Motion sensor, PTZ etc all works fine. I just bought an EZVIZ solar camera kit:
  • ASIN ‏ : ‎ B095HV1L6K
  • Manufacturer reference ‏ : ‎ BC1C Kit
And doesn't connect, just says "Offline (Parameter Error)".

Has anyone else seen this? Its a shame if EZVIZ cameras no longer work with Hikvision NVR as they're pretty good for the money! Thanks
