Help! I have just got my second IP camera which is a 2532F-IS mini-dome camera, and my 7208HGHI-S/A DVR won't install it fully: when you go to Camera Management, the camera shows up but the status has "Offline (the user is locked)". Everything else is there; IP address, port, Strong Password noted; MAC address, etc. I can view live view, playback and anything that you can normally do from the web interface.

The camera password is NOT locked as I can access it from the web interface, I can manage everything from here too. I can even access it from the web outside my firewall - the DVR just keeps coming up with this error. My first IP camera is a 2132F-IS and works perfectly, until I delete it in case it was conflicting with the new camera, and now I get the same thing trying to add this camera back in!

I have tried resetting the camera to default, rebooting DVR, etc, but to no avail. The only thing I haven't done is reset the DVR to factory default.

Any ideas welcome.

Don't worry, for some reason it has sorted itself out without doing anything.

I had same problem adding an ip camera with a turbo hd dvr. When you first add it, the dvr tries to force login with its own password. If the camera has auto lock enabled, which it does by default, the camera will lock the device from which the login attempts originated from for 30 minutes.

Btw a trick, the dvr will only allow you to add cameras when they are set to 2mp. But after its added, you can log into the camera and change to 3mp. But you can't use motion detect or apply any settings from on the camera from the dvr afterwards or it will go back to 2mp

Thank god i wasn't the only one! Your theory sounds plausible and will bear this in mind. The DVR is only compatible up to 2mp anyway so this won't be a problem

I have this dvr too, recording an ip camera at 3mp. All you got to do is set it to 3mp from camera ui after its added to the dvr.
