    Yes it will do that every few days, try rebooting it in the web ui a few times

    The Wifi is very weak, to get a stable usable connection either have a extender/AP right next to the door, or run an antenna cable + antenna from your router to somewhere near the bell

    You would have to downgrade to one of the earlier version to get the app to upgrade it

    latest copy of the RCA can be obtained by the RCA app and firmware upgrade there. last I check it is way behind the firmware available here

    They are all interchangeable and can go back to older version

    ok... just for future reference in case anyone else have this problem. After the suggestion that Safari doesn't have this issue, I tried another 2 browsers, MS Edge and Firefox... MS Edge = still got plugin error Firefox = success!

    I have consider that and I can actually do it (have everything needed), my concern would be the Hard drive not being shutdown/restart safely if I do this force power cycling method. So Safari the plugin pop up can be ignored?

    nope, the plugin message pop back up everytime in Chrome mobile or Samsung's browser on Andriod

    Did a search and google but no luck. As the browser need plugin which doesn't work on Android, and the gDSS apps and the rebranded clones I can't seem to find the function to manually reboot a device. Anyone know how? TIA Also... how to fix typo in the thread title? :facepalm:

    You can try the dahua one, but that doorbell is pretty rough as well

    yes, first time in a while though, and a periodic reboot is not big deal for me.

    That maybe case by case, I have no problem 24/7 steams and motion detection with the new firmware
