Dahua / Amcrest Indoor Camera
A newer (2020) inexpensive indoor PTZ camera is the Amcrest IP4M-1051B, 4MP wifi camera. Includes 120° FOV, MicroSD slot, is compatible with Blue Iris and more.

The other day I ordered an IP4M-1051B for my garage from Amazon on impulse (price/features). I have a similar unit for the basement from a few years ago. Have been happy with it, but forgot that it isn’t POE. The one in the basement is located near an outlet, so it wasn’t an issue to get...
...good 2 way audio Dahua cameras? Looking for a turret camera for the porch, bonus but not required would be tilit/pan.
I have a Armcrest IP4M-1051B and it actually works great for a porch cam but it's not PoE or outdoor rated anything similar?
Using BI as my NVR but will use iDMSS Plus for 2...
...use with my recording software (Sighthound Video). And I use the a Android app to view remotely (IPCamviewer Pro).
I have tried:
Amcrest IP4M-1051B, but WiFi is real spotty with it. Laggy and PTZ functions almost useless. Works great when hardwired.

So far i have been lucky, i have had five annke I61dr cube from more than 18 months, and one Hikvision DS-2CD2442FWD-IW cube from more than a year.
I do not like the form factor of the IP4M-1051B I like the cube.
...failed, so I took one of the old spare units out to replace it. Nope, it's not doing too well, either. I just bit the bullet and ordered another Amcrest IP4M-1051B 'renewed' unit to replace it. Better picture, better wifi, and great price; $67 before tax, a $10 break from a "factory new" unit.
What about using an active POE splitter that outputs 5 VDC @ 2 amps, like this?
It includes a tip for the standard 5 volt DC cam connector: 3.5mm outside x 1.35mm inside, center positive, outside negative.
Is the IP4M-1051B a PoE camera as well? Seems it should be, but haven't seen any of the documentation list it as PoE. Very interested in this camera but need it to be PoE (no wifi or power where its going)
I have the IP4M-1051B (black) and it's performance is stellar. Crisp, highly detailed video images. Just as reliable as earlier generation Dahua/Amcrest units. $89 USD on amazon.com.
I often recommend European users check for the FDT brand of cameras on ebay.co.uk. FDT is a European brand...
Glad I could help.
There is a 4MP, dual band (2.4 & 5GHz) version, the IP4M-1051, for more money but I cannot attest to its performance. Not that you would require it but I believe it has all features of the IP2M-841 with the exception of having no alarm I/O.

Am I on the right track? Is the server powerful enough? Any advice is appreciated.
I just received the 4MP UHD Amcrest IP4M-1051B. For $90 USD, the picture quality on this Amcrest rebrand of a Dahua camera is spectacular.
Save $8 USD and buy the refurb.
Amcrest IP2M-841 for 1080P at a great price.
Amcrest IP4M-1051 for higher res at a higher price.
Both are made by Dahua, re-branded by Amcrest (Formerly Foscam USA) and highly reliable, high-quality cameras that provide ONVIF compatibility, and should work right out of the box with a minimal...
Don't mean to bring this up from the grave but ....for anyone else that is having issues with PTZ this worked for me on amcrest IP4M-1051B.
Thank you looney2ns!
