It's really not a matter of the lens angle. It's the IR illuminators output cone touching any nearby objects and reflecting back onto the front glass of the camera. Only issue I can think of with the rocks being placed is IR back reflection clouding the image. None of my cameras like anything near their lens unless the object is way off axis. Otherwise, it's halo city when the IR illuminator comes on. I guess you could also go with separate illuminators.

Double check that your resistor, capacitor and wiring are not shorted and fit the space available.

Here is the completed wiring to implement what I drew in the schematic overlay. Resistor and capacitor were positioned to fit avoid the very crowed space between board center and camera wire feed. Be sure to observe polarity of your electrolytic capacitor.

You correctly understand the config changes made re UPNP2. I'm surprised that one would also need the additional port rules, but you would put accept rules for those ports from eth3 in the restrict_LANs_In rules, right after the Prevent Access of Protected LANS rule.
