    General Cost of Installtaion?

Nobody that's installing Security Systems Is going to to that for $700 Installed, unless they like going into the hole. That is one reason I would be hesitant to start doing residential installs. They will be there (depending on the layout of the house) a better part of the Day Installing that...

Are you able to log on direct to the NVR through your laptop and see them ? FYI, Instead of posting new threads of the same issue, just bump the thread, you have created like 3 different threads of this issue.

Yea, he PM'ed me but I like to keep it in the open, Not sure how much you did with him already but a few things come to mind here. Monitor on the NVR? I assume that is working for him. If that's fine what about viewing direct over the Lan webgui ? If he cannot view over the lan, smartPss...

If you can see them on your phone, you are viewing the substream, as a simple test, open your smartPss, go back to view your cams and try to switch to substream. If Sub Stream is working, then its a good chance that your devices are not capable of viewing higher resolutions. What resolutions...

Should unbranded Dahua NVR’s and ip cams be plug and play with branded Dahua equipment?

I cannot speak for those other companies you listed, but Nelleys does not sell any Dahua products anymore rebranded or New, Anything you got from them would have to be Onvif, They are using Uniview, Hik and they have their own R series brand(Goswift), I have tested all three with Dahua NVR's and...

    IP vs Analog

Amazingly, I lost bids to a local fire dept and a local town because I bid Digital and the other company bid analog, And analog they got, There are quite a few Installers still using analog all over the place., and they do not care and in both cases the municipalities say they really like the...

Geovision ADR1300- IP Camera not working through switch/router ports

Yea the original post said 120, Then from what I gather he used a 20m cable (different cable) with the same switch(to test the switch) and the cam worked. He will have to clarify that. If that's the case, his 120m cable ain't cutting it.

Geovision ADR1300- IP Camera not working through switch/router ports

If I understand your drawing and what you are saying, The first run from your cam to your "RACK" is 120 Meters? Thats near 400' and is really pushing the power and data capabilities of a setup on a good day with excellent wiring. You in fact might have too long of a run. POE spec is usually 328'

    Pandemic threat? Anyone else concerned?

@SouthernYankee is probley basing his conclusion on the history of overblown past death and doom viruses and events, Remember Sars? Pandemic threat? Anyone else concerned?

I'm as about as prepped as I'm going to be, so far so good in NY here and so far secondary infections here in the states seems very low if you want to believe what we are being told. I take that as good news.

    Pandemic threat? Anyone else concerned?

What? The news media slanting storys? That Never happens does it? Anybody who has been paying attention say the last 15 years to the main news networks has lost any confidence in what they have been reporting and how many times they in fact DO get it wrong. I have zero faith in any of them...
