How to pull an image from a camera without login required

You can turn off the "secure session keys and login page" option in BI settings > Web server > advanced, and then put a user name and password into the URLs such as http://192.168.0.19:81?user=admin&pw=admin That'll probably be the best way for you to achieve what you want to do.

    Any FFMPEG gurus in here?

Yup so definitely set the i frame interval to either 15 or 30. The current setting of 50 will not be optimal for HLS streaming with a 2 second segment size because there is only one i-frame every 3.3333 seconds.

    Any FFMPEG gurus in here?

I expect without re-encoding you will be able to handle 16 streams no problem on the VPS. At that point the hassle will be dealing with stream interruptions because at that kind of scale they are likely to happen frequently and it won't be something where you want to fix it manually every time...

    Any FFMPEG gurus in here?

-c:v libx264 is the CPU intensive part. That is telling ffmpeg to re-encode all the video frames as H.264. Change it to -c:v copy and delete the -s 854x480 and the -b:v 10000 as those won't be applicable anymore because you're now copying the video stream. Your -hls_time 2 argument is...

Triggered recordings are only using sub stream lower quality

The bug isn't in the UI code, it is in the backend of Blue Iris when it puts the wrong resolution into the clip database. It just happens that older UI3 code uses different video scaling approaches that are less affected when the resolution string given by Blue Iris is wrong. Best to email BI...

How to pull an image from a camera without login required

In Blue Iris Settings > web server > Advanced, you can use the "Limit access by IP address" box to grant full administrator permission automatically to any address without login. Enter the ^ character followed by the IP address. One address per line, if you have multiple you want to allow here.

Triggered recordings are only using sub stream lower quality

Every clip or snapshot gets a low-res thumbnail stored within one of the .dat files of the clip database. That is the thumbnail image you see in UI3's clip list and when you open the Clip Properties panel (as seen above). But that is not related to the current issue at all. This gets...

BI5, how to make remote view "seamless" to the average "joe"?

Why are you using airvpn? The only way I know of to make it one-touch seamless is to use ordinary port forwarding without a VPN server. Using a VPN server hosted at your own premises is more secure, but way less convenient because every device you connect from needs to be connected to the VPN...

Triggered recordings are only using sub stream lower quality

Hi @RifRaff13. UI3 developer here. Blue Iris support informed me of this problem on July 31st (at least in the context of "Snapshot" clips, like @sdkid was showing for his "Front Garage" snapshot). Can you right click any of the affected clips in UI3 and click "Properties" and see what...

    Blue Iris UI3

Yes. If you are logged in as a Blue Iris administrator, then UI3 will have an option at the bottom of its settings panel for you to download a ui3-local-overrides.js script containing all of your current settings (including the camera group you loaded last). If you place that file in the...

Any experience with comparing connectivity with OpenVPN vs ZeroTier when on public Wifi?

No, zerotier traffic does not look like ordinary web browsing traffic, not at all. But an OpenVPN server listening on port 443 using the TCP protocol (not UDP) does look a lot like standard HTTPS web traffic and therefore it is most likely to be allowed.

Tesla LOCKS customer's battery to 66% capacity after unrelated service. - Louis Rossmann

Wow. Kind of blows my mind that anyone would implement a software lock on battery capacity in this manner. In a world where we're all supposed to be so concerned with efficiency and reducing waste. It shouldn't have been a surprise to me though.

    Blue Iris UI3

Hi @integrity Thanks for the feature requests. I'm not going to do the thing where a different profile is used for groups vs single cameras (EVERYTHING adds to maintenance hassle, I need to draw the line somewhere). But you can limit the group streaming resolution in other ways. 1) In BI's...

Stunnel [HTTPS] connected users showing up as server's own IP in Connections

You need to figure out how to have stunnel add an X-Forwarded-For header to all the requests (google should help). Also make sure Blue Iris has the "Use X-Forwarded-For headers" box checked in BI Settings > Web server > Advanced. Also you should be aware that the X-Forwarded-For header can...

how powerful of an Ethernet switch?

Yes that should be plenty. In my experience a typical non-ptz camera uses less than 5 watts during the day, and less than 8 during the night with IR on. Granted it has been many years since I looked at usage numbers from my one managed poe switch that tells this stuff. Point is, you are...

Starlink train in polar orbit from July 22, 2022 launch.

They do separate a LOT more than that, but these launched just 2 days ago so they haven't had enough time yet. They tend to remain in a more-or-less straight line relative to each other though, but they expand out to circle around the whole earth with more even spacing.

Starlink train in polar orbit from July 22, 2022 launch.

Crazy coincidence. I was outside chatting with my brother and I was telling him about starlink satellite trains because he's never seen one. Then this one flew by not 10 minutes later. I could hardly have planned it better. These are from mission Starlink Group 3-2.

    Ubiquiti dream machine SE

Yes, I think ubiquiti cameras are not necessarily bad, but they got a lot less interesting to me when I realized they were simply not able to compete effectively with Hikvision and Dahua, let alone disrupt the IP camera market like they had done with long range wireless networking. By the time...
