One of the things I'm realising when testing the different output settings is file sizes.
I'm recording on the highest 3840x2160 25FPS H.264
and 30 mins of footage chews up about 5-6GB of space. That's just the 1 camera atm that I'm testing.
Looking to put anbother 4 or 5 around the outdoor...
I'll play around with a few settings in video output and post some vids here shortly.
In the settings in Network Configuration - should this be set to a Generic Model or the Dahua One? Not sure what model to set ? (attached pics). Or it don't really matter? Should I be looking out for...
I'm new to the entire Cam world and have recently bought and installed a Dahua IPC-HFW2831T-ZS 8MP IP Camera.
Is there any rule of thumb when configuring camera Video Settings.
I've got it set in an outdoor area capturing my front yard and the street/main road.
I've set the camera to continuous...
Thanks for the reply.
I've set BlueIris to run as a service, using the same credentials as the NVR as well as the user associated on the NAS and still can't get it working.
Can't get to it within BlueIris. Getting to it from the PC that blueiris is running on is fine.
I'm having a bit of issue finding my NAS Storage Drive in BlueIris.
My Netgear ReadyNas is set to access with SMB and has been mapped to the computer. I've created a user on the NAS that matches the same username and password on the computer that has BlueIris installed.
Mapped the drive but...
I've been looking at some Dahua and Hikvision products on their alarm systems.
Are the wireless systems good?
Obviously in terms of installation the wireless would be better, however would the wireless be of interference with other wireless devices in the home causing problems? Router...
I've installed a Dahua Camera that I'm testing at my outdoor area of my house. After mucking around with SmartPSS it's a little buggy and can't get certain things to work correctly, especially PC-NVR for playback / record or recognizing my NAS.
Reading on the forum, seems most users are using...
Yep. The network share is not showing up... Local drive is.
What's the latest version of Smart PSS? And where can I get the latest of PC-NVR?
There seems to be a newer version of Smart PSS in the ToolConfig tool, but it doesn't have PC-NVR there.
When I go to the Dahua-Wiki I cna get the...
I've successfully routed a Dahua camera to test.
I'm using Smart PSS / PC-NVR software on my computer.
I'm trying to get PC-NVR to recognize my NAS Storage device that's connected, but I'm having trouble getting to it via SmartPSS.
My NAS can be connected via SMB.
I figured to start learning everything... buy a couple, install them, play around with the locations and settings and then get a better idea and start expanding.
All up, I'll be placing around 6 or 7 cameras around the house.
Blue Iris will be suited for these cameras ?
Oh ok. Sorry.
Like I said before and stated in my Name Title... I'm a complete 'NEWB' with all this. :)
I'm ordering these two and going to wire them up and muck around with settings etc. :)
I'm looking to get the following to test in different positions.
Is it worth getting both or are they very similar in quality and performance?
I can't find a starlight one to buy and test that's within the budget. (under $300AUD).
Ok Awesome Thank you for that!
I think I'll jump into Starlight Cameras and at least buy 1 and test it!
I'm going away mid July so plenty of time to test it and see if I like it
In terms of DVR should I go with one of the units?
How do they work? choose cameras first then DVR? or other way...
Soooooo many cameras to choose from and I and still lost even though I've read a bit online and seen a few youtube video examples.
I had purchased 4MP Swann Camera package and when testing them at night – it was almost pointless in having them. You couldn't even make out if someone...
Struggling to find some good quality cameras...
The more I read online and forums, the more I get confused and what to get....
I tried out the packaged Swann NHD818's... but their quality at night isn't the greatest.. Close distance fine however 3-5 meters across the road was terrible and...
