T-Mobile 5G Home Internet AND Blue Iris Updated 2021-12-24

I got the T-Mobile 5G Home Internet gateway/service too, @ only $25/month. Speed is better than my home cable internet service at times. But I can't give up the reliability of cable internet service for this. It may be portable.. haven't tried using it elsewhere where 5G is available.

Anyone have a BlackFriday recommendation for DashCams?

What's the deal with these Amazon Black Friday (11/25/2022) "deals" ? The Viofo A129 was $139 on BF on Amazon. Today, mid-December, it is lower: $133 The Viofo A229 was $199 on BF. It is still $199 on 12/15/2022. The Viofo T130 at $169 has been popping up frequently. But it has no screen...

Anyone have a BlackFriday recommendation for DashCams?

My dashcam is powered via a separate 30Wh battery. I had the rear-view mount cam powered via the hardware kit to the car battery, and two 24F car batteries died over the years, still under warranty: the AAA guy said something was draining the car battery when I didn't drive it for weeks, and the...

Anyone have a BlackFriday recommendation for DashCams?

The foot-long rear-view-mirror dashcams might get in the way of sun-visor operation/extension, depending on your vehicle. If equipped with internal battery, they might get damaged if they are exposed to very high temperatures during summer (like mine did: internal battery started bulging)...

    Black Friday Deals....

The Rove dashcam I bought on an Amazon lightning deal on 11/7 (delivered same day!) is the same price on Black Friday. They might be trying to get rid of their slightly older models; not quite a loss-leader like grocery stores do, but enough to get views. Any dashcam with internal battery and...

What are security camera enthusiasts gonna do when most Chinese cameras are banned for sale in US come Nov., 2022?

The bigger threat (than access to cameras) is access to their cloud storage. Their government reserves the right to full access, and all Chinese cloud capable cams mention that in their usage agreement. I've had outdoor cams that use V380 ($2/month), Tuya ($4.5/month), ... etc Chinese Clouds...

That model is a 1080p cam, I believe. The comments indicate the guy is a familiar face in that community. Could be a resident or worker. Another comment indicates the HOA might have sent workers to remove unauthorized external attachments. Ring Neighbors Support posted that the owner is...

How's that AI in a PTZ cam working out for you?

OK, my low end "PTZ" cams were advertised as "PTZ" on the AliExpress site, but the box just says Pan and Tilt; no mention of Zoom. That's why no auto-zoom. They lack optical zoom too, but one can't expect all that for under $50. Manual digital zoom is not too useful here, but better than nothing...
