    DB6i picture deteriorates over time!

No smart codec that I'm aware of. The camera is mostly setup with DMSS app which has limited settings. There is no web interface. The camera was purchased at the end of june of last year. I might need to replace it. It was a pain to setup because it kept grabbing a neighbor's wifi

    DB6i picture deteriorates over time!

My Dahua DB6i picture deteriorates over time - doing a camera restart fixes it for awhile but then it starts again. Seems to happen more on sunny days for some reason. Any ideas what is going on?

Will a ham radio antenna in attic cause problems?

You might want to read thru the ARRL RF exposure guidelines and also perform a station evaluation. That dipole isn't that far from your living space.

Do your cameras randomly drop out for a few seconds saying "no signal detected' every few minutes?

I had a lot of signal lost errors awhile back and it turned out to be my switches could not handle all the traffic. After upgrading the switches to 1gb everything was fine. I found it by assigning my cams to groups which represented the switches - S1, S2, etc... By grouping them that way I...

    PC On Sale?

That looks like a fair price. The SSD is a plus and the secondary 1tb would be good enough for most people. Decent processor. I've had a Dell laptop for about 15 years and it still going strong.

Various reports on youtube: China's Total Economic Death Just Started! IT'S OVER...

I will watch it. There is also a good show on Amazon called something like 'China, The New Silk Road' Very interesting. According to the show China is running out of cheap labor and is expanding its reach into other areas like Ethiopia where the labor is cheap.

Various reports on youtube: China's Total Economic Death Just Started! IT'S OVER...

In my old age I've gotten cynical about most of the stuff we see in the media - not just YouTube or FB etc. With all of the hidden agendas out there it is very hard to know just what is true. But then, I'm from Missouri - the 'Show Me' state

So I snagged a Worx Landroid lawnmower and would like to put a camera on it

I'm wrong about the port - according to a user manual I found online the port is used to update the firmware Maintenance EN 28 Manual updates • If your Landroid is not connected to your Wi-Fi network, you can still update it to the latest software version with a USB stick • Regularly visit the...

This is a great idea - thx for the model. I want to have BI send me an email when the mail truck arrives. I've cloned the driveway camera and added the model to the cloned drive and verified that the mail truck is being correctly identified. But Bi isn't sending the email. I'm missing...

    Falsetriggers due to tree shadow...

in the case of the pvc raised bed it was an Alert - DS kept oscillating between bus and bench. I maybe seeing the AI analysis on a pic caused by a tree leaves moving. Another camera which has an oblique view of the garden doesn't have the problem but its FOV doesn't include the trees behind...

    Falsetriggers due to tree shadow...

After much experimenting (and reading) I've gotten DS implemented and it seems to have significantly cut down on the false triggers. But I still have a couple of questions about DS. Does DS learn on its own over time? When I first installed it it would not recognize a dog then a few hours...

I've setup IVS in the cameras using the AI portion of the NVR and have checked that it is setup within the camera's web interface.. The NVR just records everything, but the AI search seems to indicate that IVS is working well.

    Falsetriggers due to tree shadow...

In the afternoon the sun casts a shadow from a tree in my front yard. The movement of the leaves causes many many false triggers. I'm using zones to mask and also Obj Detection which is set at the default. Any suggestions as to how to eliminate the false triggers?
