Had a few strange RTSP issues after being online for months. Switched over to RTMP and has been stable again. Strange.

I think that only works through the Reolink app unfortunately.

Not sure that is typically done although it may be feasible. You can probably get a BI basic PC for <$150 and then just VPN into it if you need to review footage remotely.

I am using RTSP. After I went back to firmware version v3.0.0.1859_23030902, my timeline is clean, without any drop-outs. Can't remember why I upgraded. Don't fix things when they aren't broken.

Go to the timeline and try to scroll around in the past. That is what allowed me to see it was messed up.

Everything was fine today. I did have to reboot yesterday (not factory reset) to get it to show back up in BI. I will monitor for the next week and report back if any more disconnects on new firmware.

Yes, that is where I have downloaded new firmware for my other Reolink cameras (Duo 2 POE). Unless we can convince them to send it to us to help beta test.

I'm hesitant to change anything as I am not noticing any issues. My timeline is full of people, cars, and dogs and the playback doesn't show any "No Signal" when I breeze through it. Don't break technology when it aint broke, you know.

My guess is that it is Reolink's inability to create a compliant ONVIF firmware. I don't have RTSP keep alives checked and I don't see as many disconnects as you. I don't think I am missing any notifications as evidenced by my alerts matching what other adjacent cameras are seeing and the clips...

I had major disconnect issues in my log with keep alives set to on. Curious to see if that impacts you as well.

@David L interesting on your failed and reconnect. I am not seeing the same for mine. I did find one reconnect that corresponds to my nightly DB compact routine, perhaps there is a similar maintenance routine that is resetting the connection?
