Anyone know what the latest and / or final version of WebActiveX.exe is? I've seen 3 versions get installed on my machines. I thought I saw a 3.2.3.x version last time I deleted the folder. (it gets re-added every time you view a dahua cam from IE but depending on the camera, it gets a...
If you have a camera in your house pointing outside into your yard from a window with many IR illuminators outside in the yard, how much IR would this privacy film block? (25%, 50%, 75%+). Or none at all?
It says it blocks 97% of harmful rays but I don't know how exactly that relates to...
We should contact them as a huge forum and let them know that the discontinued product line is not acceptable to us. We need lower cost thermal, d*** it!
I agree that they seem to need some competition in this space. You know, like what we have with PC keyboard and mouse manufactures.
I didn't read all the details of the ban yet. So is it that they only can no longer purchase them?
I would think even if that were the case that some government locations would get antsy and start selling some anyway, in case there were an all out ban or something like that. But I guess not. So...
Australia and French National TV Investigate Hikvision, Australia Military To Remove Hikvision Cameras
What does the US government officially do with all the Dahua and Hikvision cameras they previously purchased and now must replace?
Can we purchase them somehow?
Is this the same one you are talking about by any chance?
$533 is the current price.
Has anyone figured out a way to modify the camera views in Xprotect?
For example, I really like the 16:9 1+1+6 camera view, however, in my opinion, the 2 center camera feeds should be equal (instead of the top center camera having twice as many vertical pixels as the bottom camera).
That article doesn't quite explain it very well. This one goes into a little more detail.
The problem is also noticeable on 4K screens as well. I added a 4k screen and...
Anyone else notice this?
I have been noticing this pixelation much more recently as I am looking to add a 4K monitor. (one of the workarounds Milestone mentions).
There was an...
Well this is a disappointment and a half. :poop:
Seems like we'll be waiting forever for a decent 4k low light sensor to rival that of the 5231. It's as if we've reached the end of Moore's Law, but with low light sensors. Reminds me of the 56k modem for some reason.
Not quite ready to purchase one this expensive yet. I was curious if you will start to get requests to sell it or not. $850 is getting very reasonable for this kind of camera. It may be a couple more years before it really comes down in price. I think I will get one when it is closer to $500 US.
Good to know that there is another sweet 1080 sensor. Any chance they might be planning a newer 4k sensor as well?
SONY Brings IMX327 STARVIS Sensor with High Sensitivity for Better Surveillance
What are your estimates for when the first PTZ IMX327 will be released?
No, it's not the biggest problem, but it is one of the many annoying things that neighbors sometimes do that I would like to turn around and make it into a fun game so that it can give me a chuckle. But also, really, most dog owners don't realize how disrespectful they can sometimes be without...
Yeah I'm getting a couple like that for the back yard, but for the front yard, there are people who let their dogs pee on my trashcan all the time and so it would be nice to have the capability to just scare them off in real time, only if they look like they are starting to pee on the trash can...
I know. That is the problem...I don't understand why a company like Seek Thermal or others don't go after this market. I know they are cheaper than they used to be but it would be nice if this tech was in the same ballpark as Starlight tech.
It looks like he's getting another $200 Billion ready. Will this affect Dahua cameras?
Trump launches new tariffs on China - CNNPolitics
Say he does the 450 Billion, how much per camera would it really affect us? Would it be like $5.00 more we would have to pay for each camera worth $200?
Hoping to power the device with the 9 volt battery it comes with. I just need a remote that would basically just disconnect one of the battery leads and connect the lead when I press a button on the remote.
