If I am reading what you are saying, then non-multiples of 60hz can be a large number. For reading license plates it is not a factor for me. However, looking at the background it would be nice to eliminate the light wave. Just something I wonder about.

That is exactly what it is. The power to the lights is on 60 Cycle and I thought multiples of that would work. By the way I will be ordering two more of these cameras for my LP1 and LP4 positions. Now if the streetlights were LED's this might not happen.

Well, that idea did now work out. The streetlights are still doing the same thing.

I am going to try fractions like 2.0833ms-2.0833 which is equivalent to a 1/480 shutter speed tonight and see what happens.

I just had a thought from all of this. The 60 hertz power cycle from the streetlamps cause the light to dim and brighten somewhat. I noticed that if the shutter speed is set to 1/120 it does not do that. So, I am wondering if you were to set the shutter speed of 1000ms/240 equals 4.1666ms if...

Looks like we hit a home run with the Customized Scene mode. I have set the mode for 3-3 and it is holding. Also, I took a picture of the formerly hard to read California Retro plate. This is by far the best I have seen from my cameras.

Yes, I am using Internet Explore version 10. I just checked the Day/Night and the 1/1000 shutter speed is now there. There must be something I clicked today that changed things. That is a promising sign for tonight.

I have found that the availability is about twice that time unless they have restocked a bunch of them. Mine was shipped from Southern California. I have found the wait time to be well worth it.

My Illuminar reaches out further than the specifications say. 100' is quite conservative for the 60 degree version.

Question? If you go to a 1/10000 shutter speed at night does your camera go pretty much dark? Also does your camera have an 1/1000 shutter speed? Mine jumps from 1/500 to 1/2000.
