New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

No worries. I found that information very informative and I definitely did not want to lock myself out of the camera, so I think the warnings are very helpful. Once @TechBill explained how to do that without activating it, I had no issues using the batch config tool.

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

Would you be able to add that blurb about how to use batch config without changing your password that @TechBill posted to the 101? Might be helpful to some that have just started using these doorbells and heed all the warnings about not changing the passwords (at least that was the boat I was in).

Thanks. I think I'll just use the batch config from now on.

That worked perfectly. I did write down the password and took a picture just in case. I am now able to see the CCD menu.

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

I'm using iVMS-4200. Tried to use batch config tools, but saw the thing about changing the password and didn't want to screw that up. If there is a way to use batch config tools without changing the password to the device, I'm willing to try. The weird thing is that the screen for WDR was...

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

That's the weird thing. I don't have that anymore. No changes were made to the firmware.

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

I just installed the Nelly's version about a week ago. I connected it to Blue Iris without issue. created a camera group that triggers each other, and adjusted WDR, FPS and i-Frame, and Resolution in iVMS-4200. I had the EZ-VIZ app on my android phone, but there were issues with a black screen...

Video Tearing in Recorded Files in BI5 and Push to Talk Issues with Blue Iris App (Android)

I never changed any setting to turn off the power to the GPU. My BI machine was running 24/7, but switched to a KVM while testing the installation. My power settings were set at balanced (never changed it from installation) and BI was set to "Prevent power management from putting the PC to...

Video Tearing in Recorded Files in BI5 and Push to Talk Issues with Blue Iris App (Android)

Thanks, JNDATHP, but this ended up not being a driver issue for us. It ended up being an issue of keeping the Intel GPU engaged on headless displays, which required changes to the power settings and a device emulator. Once we did that, it seems that those problems were solved for both of us...

Video Tearing in Recorded Files in BI5 and Push to Talk Issues with Blue Iris App (Android)

@iseeker Is your system still running good with the emulator? Mine hasn't had any tears since I hooked up the monitor AND turned off the power-saving portions of the GPU in windows settings.

Video Tearing in Recorded Files in BI5 and Push to Talk Issues with Blue Iris App (Android)

Still have the monitor hooked up directly (skipping the KVM). I figured I would give it some time with testing these settings before buying a new piece to add to the puzzle. It is definitely promising. If this solves the issue (power settings for display and Intel UHD in Win 10, plus direct...

Video Tearing in Recorded Files in BI5 and Push to Talk Issues with Blue Iris App (Android)

I have not tried the emulator, yet, but the one you added is on my list. I have had dozens of clips recorded in the past week since I have made the changes to the display power settings and have not had a single tear, so it would not surprise me if the emulator worked for me at this point. I...

Video Tearing in Recorded Files in BI5 and Push to Talk Issues with Blue Iris App (Android)

Well, some good news this morning. The 4 clips that have recorded since I made these last changes have resulted in clips that have not torn on playback. I will continue to monitor and test, but I am hoping that this will be enough to fix the issue so I can just buy one of those dummy adapters...

Video Tearing in Recorded Files in BI5 and Push to Talk Issues with Blue Iris App (Android)

An Nvidia card is highly inefficient for the majority of systems. QS should work, whether it is 2 cameras or 22 cameras. Obviously much more necessary for 22 cameras, but a good processor plus QS can be an efficient, but powerful server.

Video Tearing in Recorded Files in BI5 and Push to Talk Issues with Blue Iris App (Android)

I was getting tearing as well with the direct monitor hookup, but power saver mode was still enabled on the display. I changed the settings for turn off display to never, and in advanced power settings, I changed Intel(R) Graphics Settings / Intel(R) Graphics Power Plan from "balanced" to...

Video Tearing in Recorded Files in BI5 and Push to Talk Issues with Blue Iris App (Android)

Even still hooked up through KVM, there has been an improvement so far last night and this morning. Received a late delivery from Amazon last night and no tearing. Also, no tearing this morning when someone arrived at my house. However, 3 thoughts on the improvement: In IR mode, previously...

I'll try that out. I can spare a monitor, but would still need the KVM for keyboard and mouse (or use teamviewer)

That is the goal as the final location for this will be in a hidden location. Right now it is hooked up to a dual HDMI 4-port KVM while it is being setup.

Push to Talk Issues with Blue Iris App (Android)

While I try to resolve my tearing issues, I thought I would start a new thread on the issues I am having with the android app. I would like to be able to use the push to talk function through the blue Iris app (android Pixel 2XL) for my Dahua IPC-A35. The function works with the camera through...

Video Tearing in Recorded Files in BI5 and Push to Talk Issues with Blue Iris App (Android)

I saw that the Memory Leak section of the Wiki was updated to include drivers for the 8th gen that are actually available on the Intel website that are known to be good. I downloaded 26.20.100.7323 and installed. We'll see how that goes.

Video Tearing in Recorded Files in BI5 and Push to Talk Issues with Blue Iris App (Android)

My tearing is back. after reviewing some of the footage yesterday, it has reappeared. It doesn't occur in every scene, but it is definitely there if there is quite a bit of motion. Downgraded drivers to 25.20.6374 (which is the lowest installed directly from windows 10) and it is still there...

Video Tearing in Recorded Files in BI5 and Push to Talk Issues with Blue Iris App (Android)

Dang. I had finished reading through page 2 (made a couple of changes without changing drivers and now not seeing tearing, but seeing ghosting which is probably a function of my WDR, sharpness, or noise reduction settings in camera), but that thread cannot be found now...

Video Tearing in Recorded Files in BI5 and Push to Talk Issues with Blue Iris App (Android)

The biggest problem is that version 25.20.100.6374 is the lowest version I could get. It's actually lower than the lowest version available on Intel's website for 9th gen CPUs. Do you know what version you re using? I had used the group policy exception as mentioned in the wiki to stop driver...

Video Tearing in Recorded Files in BI5 and Push to Talk Issues with Blue Iris App (Android)

Hello All, I have read multiple threads here, read the applicable portions of the BI 5 help file (which is very informative), read the Wiki, and have tried multiple solutions to no avail for the following 2 issues I am having with my Blue Iris 5 setup. 1) Video recording is tearing (some call...

IPC-A35 and Tiny Cam Pro questions

I just received my new IPC-A35 from Andy (took less than a week to get it) and have it hooked up to my network and blocked from the internet. Now I have three questions regarding this camera: 1. I mainly use tinyCam Pro on my phone to view the few cams I have on my network. I can use the...

    HDW5231R-Z video settings

Thanks. I got the idea for syncing to a time server from one of the threads here about that tool. I was just thinking about running it from my router as my router (OPNsense) has the timeserver functionality built in and that way I can sync all of my network to the router. One bit of bad news...

    HDW5231R-Z video settings

Thanks @looney2ns . I haven't verified that changing the noise filter changed the audio issue yet (I haven't received a trigger yet), but it didn't fix the FPS stuck at 30. However, it led me to look at some of the other settings to see why it was stuck at 30 FPS. I changed the smart codec to...

    HDW5231R-Z video settings

Hello All, First, I want to thank everyone for all of the knowledge that has been shared on this board. Because of this site, I was able to find a good IP camera to start with and also learned about protecting my network devices while allowing remote access through VPN (now using OPNSense with...
