    Blue Iris Video Tutorials

Hello, So I guess I will do an update on this. Unfortunately at this time I will not be making any new video for 2 reasons. 1. And this is the main reason - I own a hurricane protection installation company (this is my main job) here in FL and I am currently booked out solid for 2 months and...

    Trigger across cameras

To clarify, your saying camera 2 would need to be triggered within 15 seconds to send an alert after camera 1 is triggered?

Blue Iris App on LTE (major lag)

Also, from an article: Potential NAT Acceleration Issues and Conflicts NAT Acceleration, specifically the CTF Cut Through Forwarding portion can conflict with a few other common features. You should consider disable NAT acceleration or turn it to off if you experience any of the problems below...

Blue Iris App on LTE (major lag)

How I stumbled on this setting is I was going through my QoS settings and Parental control (it was off but was just clicking around) and noticed that both QoS and Parental control require NAT Acceleration to be turned off for either of these features to work. I thought... hmm well if QoS need...

Blue Iris App on LTE (major lag)

Problem is FIXED! I disabled "NAT Acceleration" and it instantly was better. This setting must have been enabled with some firmware update.

Dell Optiplex VS HP Compaq for a Blue Iris machine

I have been looking at lens comparisons for cameras and had MM on the mind hah

Dell Optiplex VS HP Compaq for a Blue Iris machine

The main thing I wanted to highlight is the lack of a second 3.5" drive bay (or power connector) on the Dell. I typically hijack the HP CD Drive sata and power connector to power another drive but was unable to do that on the Dell. I had to buy a splitter (which isn't that big of a deal) just...

Dell Optiplex VS HP Compaq for a Blue Iris machine

Thanks, I've used a bunch of HP machines and have no problems with them. It seems like I always need to hunt down the correct drivers to get the NIC to work on the HP. My recent Dell I bought I did a fresh OS install and the NIC worked right out of the gate for example.

Dell Optiplex VS HP Compaq for a Blue Iris machine

Hey guys, I thought I would write a quick review on the differences between a Dell Optiplex and a HP Compaq if you are deciding to use them for a Blue Iris machine. While you may think at first... ehhh.. why do I care... it's just brand I will buy whatever is cheaper WAIT! You might just want...

    Is this a good buy

On a side note... Dell Optiplex only have ONE bay to fit a 3.5" drive (or a 2.5 SSD with a 3.5 adapter)... Also... the power supply only has ONE SATA 15-pin for power. If you are going to run a SSD AND a spinner drive such as a Western Digital Purple you must buy a SATA splitter like this: SATA...
