    Car Troubles On The Corner

This vehicle rolled back down the hill due to a dead battery. Looks like a portable jump starter was used to start the car. The close up video is from a license plate camera.

    Dog Walkers On The Corner

One of the males spots a deer standing on the side of our house, which runs off to the back of the house once it sees their dog. Later, the female and one of the males have removed their shirts and appear to have a brief wrestling match while the other male records them with a cell phone.

Golden Eagles Chase Down A Squirrel

I heard some type of commotion on the hill across the street. I didn't realize until later that the 3 large birds were Golden Eagles and they were after a squirrel. By the time I was able to zoom in on the area there was no sign of the squirrel. I believe the first of the 3 birds to appear was...

East Foothills Fire September 1 2019

I'm not sure what type of trees they are, but in the video thumbnail you can see several tall thin trees in the bottom right of the frame. This looks like the type of trees that were burning.

East Foothills Fire September 1 2019

This was described by the local media as a brush fire. No structures appeared to have been involved. It looked like a large tree on fire. The fire started just before 8:57 PM. Around the 45 second mark of the video you can see a person with a hose trying to fight the fire. The first fire trucks...

    Daytime Trespasser Not Wearing Shoes

No plans at the moment, but I did share the video with our neighbor next door. They were not home at the time this happened, but he was standing just a few feet from their side garage door which was open at the time. There is a gap of about 3 and 1/2 minutes when he is seen on the dirt road...

    Daytime Trespasser Not Wearing Shoes

This male got into our neighbor's yard then climbed a fence into our yard. He was only in our yard for 20 seconds, just enough time to walk along the side of the house up into the street. I think he was on a quest to find his shoes, as he only had socks on his feet. About 15 minutes later he is...

    No back tire

He rode in with just a rim on the back wheel. Maybe he was looking for a replacement tire. Looked like he might have been high on something.

    Road Hazard

Two bike riders noticed a large quantity of screws in the street in front of our neighbor's house. This neighbor asked me if my security cameras could determine how they got there. It turn's out they may have been thrown out the window of a moving vehicle just before it enters the camera frame...

    Injured Deer Jumps A Fence

I don't know how it hurt it's leg, but I frequently see small groups of deer playing on the hillside below our house. They run around at full speed looking like they are playing a game of tag. This hillside is pretty steep so it probably hurt itself by slipping or jumping a fence and landing...

    Injured Deer Jumps A Fence

Yes, this deer has been hanging around for the last 3 weeks and it's difficult to watch. It comes up the garage side of the house after dark and walks further up the hill to eat. In the morning it comes back down the hillside below our house. Some days it walks down the garage side of the house...

    Injured Deer Jumps A Fence

At the very end of the video you can see the jump in slow motion. The rear legs hit the top of the fence and the deer toppled over. You can see it limping away through the slats of the deck.

    Dahua DH-SD6CE245U-HNI Night Video Capture

After using this camera for a while now, I'm happy with the night time color. I've tried several other cameras, including a 4MP 30x PTZ, and 2 different 4K cameras. This camera still has the best image at night in color. For best daytime image, the 4K cameras are better. The 4MP 30x PTZ is not...

    A Couple of Wildlife Captures

No big cat sightings this year. October of last year was the last sighting. There have been other sightings here in the San Francisco bay area every couple of months. Regarding the squirrel, we have an apricot tree just below the deck. The apricots are just about ripe. The squirrel likes to grab...

    A Couple of Wildlife Captures

Thanks, I didn't know what type of bird this was. I see them frequently in the back of the house. They go after cats walking on the dirt road that is below our house. They must have nests in nearby trees.

    A Couple of Wildlife Captures

    Closeup of Injured Fawn

This injured fawn was first spotted a week ago. Last night it was just below our deck for a few minutes.

    Doe and 2 Fawns

After the doe jumped a fence next to the deck the 2 fawns seemed to panic as they couldn't figure how to get over the fence. Eventually, they both figured out how to join their mother.
