BI 5.5.6.15 Doesn't Trigger On This Motion?

That's one of the problems with Reolink garbage, you can't set the Iframe correctly, which cause's blue iris to miss motion events. You can try using simple instead of Edge Vector. Any motion setup, you always must test and verify. Every FOV requires a different setup.

I feel like I need to know rocket science to make a decision

First of all cameras are no longer a deterrence. Look at the videos posted here, and elsewhere. Most "perps" don't give a rats butt about video cameras. Again Ring, Nest, Arlo, Wye, et al, will give you nice pretty pictures, but when the rubber hits the road and you want/need to know who did...

Problems configuring Reolink 823-A with BI5

Yeah the API comment was just meaning that they seem to be trying to at least cater a little to the home tinkerer (and actually respond to issues). Obviously doesn't solve for underspec'd hardware.... I'd heard knocks against HIkivision in regards to the support aspect. Thanks so much for...

    NVR System für viele Kameras

@kersam43 any good camera starts at 100-130€ per cam Because you are located in europe, everything is more expensive. so 5x cameras means at least 650€ + 250€ NVR + 150€ harddrive + cables/connectors If you are not willing to pay this, you can just stop and be happy with your reolink system...

Reolink: Deconstruction of a dangerous misleading youtube review "Finding the BEST 4K Security Camera NVR Package (Reolink vs Amcrest vs Swann)"

I have no idea if he is paid for such reviews or not - he claims he is not, and it may or may not be the case. We really can not prove this. He also mentioned Andy's cameras, and recommended them as well - but I do not think he is getting paid by Andy. I see your point about telling more about...

You've obviously have not bothered to read the links already provided to you. We can't do it all for you. Intel i5 4590 + 8Gb RAM; will it be able to swing it?

Go ahead, buy the Reolink but you'll cry later. The thing to do is buy one camera at a time and build a decent system up over a period of time. I started five years ago and am still adding cameras as budget and time permit. Pick what you value most, want to have the protection on first and...

Thankyou for the advice. It is a bit like telling someone who just bought a matag washing machine that particular brand/model is garbage and you should have bought something else. I now know going forward not to make the same mistake, but it's a bit too late as they are already purchased...

fwiw: ( text of the above + full image ) Brian Simmons 1 week ago (edited) The Reolink system is inexpensive and has a lot of features. Picture quality is not one of them however. The "ghosting issue" at night should be a clear turn off for people. The whole point of having a camera system...
