That cam is less sensitive at night, so your performance after dark will be worse than the 4231F wedge camera. Sensor size and sensitivity is more important then megapixel count. The Starlight cameras are a much better overall value. -

This cannot be emphasized enough. Wire is cheaper and faster than fighting with Wireless. (Especially if you have neighbors close.) Ordered on Dec.24th, and my cameras arrived today. Fantastic service from @EMPIRETECANDY !!! Everything looks good out of the box. Testing on the ground overnight, and then I'll be replacing at least one existing cam tomorrow. :) -

Cool deal. Thanks so much. Looks like a good option. :) I'm not super concerned with 2 way audio, so that's not a big deal for me. And I don't use IDMSS or GDMSS either for that matter. You mentioned that these work with Dahua NVR's. Can you access all the settings through the NVR or direct via IP like a dahua cam? I'm really not interested in having to mess with an Amcrest account and their app just to set the thing up for one cam. :)- CountZero

I have 3 cameras going in to a switch and then down to a powerline adaptor and its rock solid. I've never had a dropout from them. So it was probably the specific brand of homeplug device you were using. Mine have been as solid as a wired connection since the day I put them in. -

I'm pretty sure its pulling settings from teh cameras as I only have Video Detect, Alarm and Abnormality in the Event menu. :) What cameras are you running with the smart lines and can you do smart lines for ALL of your cameras, regardless of model? My cams are all 4300 series 3MP Units. -

Thanks for the info on the alarm. I did a secondary scan and actually did get a hit on that file, so I disinfected, and managed to pull a clean version from one of the cameras, so I'm up and working now. :) I totally understand that I can access the NVR from inside or outside the network...
